I'm still bummed.... spent my Xmas Eve listening to all that I have.....
My top 5:
1. (tie) Safe European Home, Police & Thieves
2. Guns of Brixton
3. Ghetto Defendant
4. London Calling
5. (tie) Somebody Got Murdered, Magnificent Seven, Lost in The Supermarket
Extremely Honorable Mention: Spanish Bombs, Know Your Rights, I'm So Bored with the USA, Clash City Rockers, Hateful, Jimmy Jazz, Clampdown, Straight to Hell, Brand New Cadillac, This is Radio Clash, & about 50-75 or so others......
(BTW, my copy of "Somebody Got Murdered is so butchered...looking on KaZaa, inexplicably no one
has that up...anyone else have a link to a decent mp3 file?)
I'll give my reasons for the 5 later....if anyone else thinks this might be a thread worthwhile.

3. "Know Your Rights"
2. "Complete Control"
1. "The Magnificent Seven"
What a fantastic group they were. They represented everything music should.

Just mix & match tracks from "London Calling" and you have nearly 20 awesome songs. I can't think of any album that I own that kicks ass from top to bottom like "London Calling." It was literally a wake-up call for me and it always bring back great memories of growing up in the 80s and not always fitting in. I even cut my hair similar to Joe's style circa "Combat Rock" (caught hell for that from the "school authorities"). Sorry to see you go, Joe.
