Either FSC or no TV, depending on whether SUM wants to spend the money on TV production and transmission.
(Telemundo already has Spain-Slovakia LIVE on Nov. 12, whle GolTV already has Uruguay-Australia live.)
Scotland does NOT sell on PPV so there is no reason for Setanta to take it.
US friendlies don't sell on PPV. Neither Setanta (which tried a US women's friendly on PPV once and lost money) nor ISM (which now concentrates on Mexican club friendlies) want US friendlies anymore.

I can't imagine that this game wouldn't be on TV. I'm sure the game will be on TV in Scotland, so FSC could just put their own announcers on or just take the Scottish (BBC?) feed.
I'd doubt FSC has anything better to show that evening.

Why not ESPN2 like most US friendlies?

SUM/MLS will have to pay for a 2nd set of TV cameras on the opposide side of the field (so that SUM/MLS can put its own ad boards on the field) and hence incur production cost if it wants a broadcast in the US.
Bottom line: does SUM/MLS want to spend another $35-40K for a friendly on FSC on the same weekend as the MLS Final?
I have my doubts.

SUM is all about "integrated sponsorship opportunities".
Translation: SUM sponsors pay for ad board exposure, logo burn-ins, plus 30-second ad slots in a package.
I am almost certain that SUM will NOT put a feed of Scotland vs US on FSC without having its own ad boards and its own set of cameras.

The non-PPV version of Setanta on DirecTv is still an option; their schedule for that weekend is not yet posted

Not an option. SUM is the rightsholder in the US. SUM has to first offer the game to ESPN, then to FSC, then to GolTV, before it can offer the product to another outfit.
FSC will snap this up if SUM decides to spend the money to produce it.

So, did SUM pay for the extra cameras, or will they share the signage and use a single set of cameras?

More importantly, will we have to endure the blarings of Max Bretos?

Mute button alert.... during the Eng-Fra U21 game Webster said that Bretos & Harkes will be working this match (on-site, apparently). Good news however is that Bobby McMahon will be part of the pregame show

Yes, muting Bretos will be key.
To be honest I'd rather pay the 29.99 for the PPV of Eng v. Arg. than watch Bretos call the US v. Scots game. It's all about the ego and making sure he always gets the last word in. I wish Harkes luck.
BTW-
It BLOWS my mind that FSC is actually going to do a studio pre/half/post game!
The big questions is which set they will use?
The "pub", the old FFF living room, or the hallway Bretos did his stand up routine in this week?

Noooooooo. Not Bretos. Why couldn't they just have taken the feed from Sky Sports 2 and let us listen to their commentators. Eh, what do I care, I'm only going to be watching the first half until England v. Argies. I think I can handle Bretos for a half.

I'd take Bretos over C. Miles anyday...
