That was a pleasant game to watch !

I must say I've been really scared in the first HT since France was totally out of the game. I guess they were mainly suffering from the heat. The 2nd HT was way better... even if we've been lucky Anelka's goal has been accepted. Anyway, Anelka deserved to score as I liked a lot his fighting spirit. Everything ends for the best. France's honour is safe and it's true that it would have really been sad for Martinicans to lose that game.

Not at all w/ the first, it was the defense, specifically Givet.


Second one he came out for the cross and didn't get it -mistimed it. Unfortunantly also, the guy who whipped in the cross was so ridiculously completely open you'd think Gallas took a stand about being played out of position and left the field.

I'd wish to see him play v Germany to show a better performance. But minus saving a free-kick, and the two goals conceded he had nothing at all else to do. The whole first half from everyone was a shambles.



Guys, I am so happy we finally have depth and good depth at the strikers position. Just wish we got Anelka in the squad sooner, like the times we needed to score and Henry didn't and Trez was injured.

Its going to be either a tie, 1-1 or a 2-1 match for France, Trez is back and we now have attack. If Anelka, Trez, Henry and Cisse all play that'll better the chance of us scoring.

That and we'll have more "spine & brain" in midfield
too...Mak, Vieira,etc. We were really light-weight
in that department today. We couldn't control the
game , even when playing better as in the second-
half: still looked like a "headless chicken", disorganised
team.
But yeah, we're looking better up front and had three
strikers goals. That's good.
