Great game by Anelka. I would have liked to see Anelka play more. I hope that this performance will get him some more attention and playing time.

oh, wow, Henry has the same goal tally (not goal to game ratio though) of Trez now, doesn't he?
28?

if that's the case Trezeguet and Henry are joint second place all-time scorers for France.

Thats great, a little competintion between those two will benefit everybody. :D
Horrible first half for Les Bleus but what can you say...3 goals in 45 mins. You cant complain.

Classy mis-direction goal by Henry to give a well-deserved 3-2 win to France. CR played to their strengths (slowed the game down, tight formations throughout the field) but in the end les Bleus too strong. They dominated the second half and only a couple of great saves from the Ticos goalkeeper kept them in it.

I'm just happy that the CR fans can't come here and kick us in the teeth....
Good luck to them in Germany though, they have a nice little side. France have a lot of work to do. Givet out, Barthez out. Coupet in.

Do you guys think Chimbonda ever gets a call up for France? He's from Guadloupe as well.

Yep, France should learn a few things from this match....
Gallas should play in the centre, Coupet is no1, and Cisse is da man!

I agree although maybe its a little harsh to blame the defense too much since Abidal was injured when they scored the first goal. I definately like Coupet better in goal but he still needs to prove himself against the germans.
Is Boumsong going to play now that Abidal is injured...again?

Maybe, but if Evra can't get called up despite playing for Monaco what chance has he got at Wigan?

Henry and Trez actually have 31 goals.
Top of the list now looks like:
41? Platini
31 Henry, Trezeguet
Henry 31 in 74. Trez 31 in 59. (don't remember Platini's)

Yeah, but Chimbonda has been gold plated dynamite at the JJB this year. I can think of worst backups for Sagnol.
