Sure, there are always several top quality players sitting in Chelsea reserves--I don't have any pretensions about the size of the club I support.

Don't doubt that and I'm sure that both the club and the potential players would rather they were keeping their match fitness up, also be nice to see of of their names playing up here.
I don't have any pretensions about the size of the club I support.
Not sure whether that was meant to sound loaded or not.
When we took Aliadiere from Arsenal I was against it, as much as I want to see the best players I can in the flesh, it felt to me that it was somehow diminishing Celtic. I want to see Celtic be a success or failure using our own resources. Might just be a gut reaction that most people find absurd, but that's football in my eyes.

Wasn't a loaded statement--Celtic have many times the resources to work with that Hibs do. Seems an admirable reaction to me, I just do not have a problem getting a couple players a year--could do loads to improve Hibs depth--enough maybe to make it to the second or third round of Uefa, or be more or less ensured a 3rd/4th finish in the league.

Fair enough I suppose, it's all about opinions.
I heard the chief scout for Anderlecht was watching Hibs HUMP :D Hearts yesterday, rumour is he was excited about Thomson,Riordan and O'Connor

Mowbray might still have difficulty getting the players he wants due to differences in loan rules. I think whomever titled this article overstated it though http://www.soccer365.com/EUROPEAN_NEWS/Scottish_News/page_111_110331.shtml
