I was wondering what other people want most from their boots and what people think is more important to them eg: lightweight:comfort K:Synthetic

Id have to say a Comfortable boot that fits right on the foot, NOT bulky, nice soft thin K, weight isnt an issue neither is all the technology adidas advertisise!
:)

hmm i dun really get what you mean ... is it what we want in boots ?? Well if thats the case then i feel that comfort is EVERYTHING ... other features of the boot are quite useless if it is not comfortable ... furthermore you cant play well in uncomfy boots ...

Yep you got it right, sorry i wasnt too clear, the question again is what is more important to people Comfort:Lightwieght K:syntetic and so on mabey if people like their boots to be tight on their feet or bulky, technology or old skool styled boots things like that.

Ah……yes. That makes much more sense!

KNG IS synthetic, so do you mean as opposed to K leather, or what?

I've never known anyone who PREFERS a bulky boot.

If your feet are hurting, you ain't playin' very well!

again sorry old timer, you'll have to use your imagination, obviously i ment Synthetic compared to k and obviously some people prefer bulky or why alse would the AZTs sell so much, and obviously the vapors is the most popular boot, and isnt very comfortable or isnt made to be comrotable!!! Use logic before you try to controdict someones points!

Contrary to what you may believe, the Vapor IS NOT the most popular boot. As a rep for a large soccer distributor I can back that up as well. The sales of other boots far outsell the Vapors. The Vapors can be very comfortable, if you have the right foot shape. If it's uncomfortable it very well can't be the best for you, can it? Logically speaking, of course. Everyone is not made for every boot, capice? The Vapor is a sprint shoe disguised as a football boot, great for strikers but less so for mids & defenders, & a horrible boot for keepers.

The AZTIII is far from being a bulky boot. A wide boot, yes, but bulky, I don't think so.

To use logic, what parameters are you setting up to qualify what is considered a bulky shoe in your mind? Logically, I can only contradict what you type, not what you think in your mind but fail to convert to written word.

And don't take this personally! ;)

If the AZTIII is not a bulky boot then there is NO such a thing as a bulky boot IMO, and im sure many members here agree with me! And which other boot is more discussed or been voted better by the members here and at SP, if you check there the vapor has more votes then "reebok", "umbro", "Nomis", "asics", "PUMA", lotto" and "OTHER", ALL SUMMED UP! the logic in that is that if its voted best, there are more threads on vapors then ANY other boot here or at SP, No other boot has been praised so much then it IN FACT is the most popular boot! And i dont take it personally either, a bit of an arguement doesnt hurt anyone unless it goes too far.

It's true vapors are talked about the most but that's simply due to Nike's agressive marketting campaign and the hoards of followers who live in hope that the lightest boots around will be "perfect" for them.

While they are great for many people, you hear quite a few gripes from others.

Mizuno boots on the other hand have been discussed and praised on here with hardly any (if any) negative talk about them. If Mizuno had the exposure and marketting $$ behind their wave cup, wave md line we'd all be talking about them as their quite close to perfection.

Different feet suit different boots but for all round greatness mizuno is the leader as their top of the range boots are light, comfortable and don't need gimmicks.

im not really into the boot technology fuss, like i mentioned b4, i started playing barefooted when i was young, not that i couldnt afford shoes, just prefered the feel. years on, i still prefer having as little on my foot, which is why the vapor is one of my all time fav coz its the closest to playing barefooted. i definitely prefer leather's feel but they stretch more than synthetics and usually lose some shape after several games, so i stick to the synthetic vapors.

Funny to think for the rest of you that matthewfoo is the only one who actually answered the question with out hesitation! Really says something doesnt it!

No, he only said what you wanted to hear! Logically, since the Vapor is the boot with the most threads, posts, yada, yada, yada, then logically it would be the best selling boot, right? Then why isn't it? Because you are basing your logic on a narrow paradigm, one where the posters on BS & SP love the Vapor. What you fail to bring into the equation is what is the percentage of these posters to the total volume bought by the general public?

Or to put it in another light, let's say you frequent a forum about 1969 Dodge Charger RTs. Everyone on that board agrees that a 1969 Dodge Charger RT is the coup de gras of muscle cars. Is it when you ask the everyday joe on the street? No, it's not. Reality check.

The Vapor has a following, true, but it's not as big as you'd like to believe.

A perfect boot.
A lightweight boot, made with K-leather but STILL keeps its shape perfectly, doesn't clog up mud in its studs, and is 100% waterproof and comfortable. If somebody could make that for me I'd be truly grateful. :)

haha.

comfort over lightweight(2-3 ounces in boot weight doesn't make a huge difference for me), and synthetics over leather because I've just had better experiences with them.

Perfect boot????: sythetic, great support and feel on the foot not too bulky. Great stud grip on all field surfaces (synthetic and real grass) durability. Oh wait, I just described my cellerators! :D

Cellerators? My gold ones arrive today!!(with my black x 200s) I can't wait. They really are an amazing boot. let me know what ya think of them after a match or 2.

(Thank god I'm a defender. I'd get killed as a striker with gold boots. I know I pick out the strikers with gold vapors.)

I see very little correlation between talked about and good - alot vapor threads and postings are complaining or selling.

I just blabbed on about this on the puma thread, but I really like a boot to be made in Italy or spain or germany or some company that has a football history in manufacturing. It just seems to be made better to me. Do others agree, or this just hogwash?

Pefect is 99% comfort to me - snug all around, no slipping, pressure points, just all around support. It doesn't seem to be asking alot, but surprisingly hard to find IMO.

that's class. I sortof do the same thing- I basically will take a shot at a striker early in the game(set the tone :D ) and the level of that depends on how flashy their boots are and how they present themselves on the field(cocky, beckham wannabe, etc.) I never knew how fun it was to take out a striker before this past season, since I was always a center mid or striker :o

I do the same thing. If you're cocky, BEWARE!!! Nothing beats the feeling of chasing down a striker and slide tackling him. Or you and a striker going for a 50/50 ball and beating him to the ball and making him look bad. As a defender I don't much scoring, so taking on strikers is quite a rush. ;)
