My sons' highschool team uses them to practice throw-ins. The strongest players could then throw in a regular ball with the same result as a corner kick.

Well, exactly what they said! You would use it to practise your throwing technique. :cool:

and u could do the same excercises that you do with a medicine ball..

rotator cuff problems later on?
weight through multiple planes of motion arent too healthy...but 1 kilo aint much
