In stores, and a digital download form.

Worldwide Soccer Manager 2006 has been confirmed for a ship date (bar any manufacturing problems) of November 1st, 2005.

There will be boxed copies of the game available in North America and Canada from this date. Details of retailers will follow at a later date.

We will also be releasing a digital download version of Worldwide Soccer Manager on the same date. This will be a "try before you buy" version of the game (so a 6 month demo, and if you like it, you can then "unlock" the rest of the game) and will be available for customers throughout the American continents, so, for the first time, the game will be available for those in Central and South American countries.

We are still finalising the details with Sega of America's online distribution partner to see if any of the countries in these continents will not be able to purchase, but at the moment it is looking like we'll be able to sell to customers in all countries in both continents.

This is a big test for the game, and we are hoping to turn a lot more people enjoying our game in these countries into legitimate purchasers to test the market for the future. With your support, we might even manage to get boxed copy releases in these countries too.

Oh, and the price of the download (and the boxed copy in the US & Canada) will be under $30.

Thank you all for your patience whilst waiting for this announcement, but there's been a lot to sort out!

amazon also sucks. it took me 4 weeks to get WSM2005 shipped. i ordered from amazon, who in turn got it from somewhere else. 2-4 business days grew to 20 business days each time I talked to the company amazon used.

So I can safely assume that I'll receive WSM 2006 from Amazon approximately never? That will give me more time to ride Aberystwyth into the ground in WSM 2005. Evidently, I don't quite have what it takes to manage a team in the WPL.

I was reading on the forum at the sigames website. Apparently there is some issues that are being sorted out and it will uploaded either today or sometime this weekend/Monday, but sometime soon they will have it up.

I suppose I can wait. FIFA Manager 06 is a bit tempting, but I don't want to buy Yet Another EA Sim That Kills Savedgames At Random.

Oh, anyone know if demo savedgames will be able to be continued? I'm doing pretty well with QPR at the moment, though it's just up to the League Cup 1st round (crushing Walsall :D ).

They should continue fine.

Does anyone have a link to the leagues and nations that are included in the game?

I can't for the life of me find a list for some reason. The best I can find is the following:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soccer_Manager_2005#List_of_leagues_included_in_Football_Manager_2005

Some of the researchers also make 'unofficial' patches to replace current leagues with new ones.

it says in there that FM/WWSM2006 has the same league list as FM/WWSM2005.. look for the unfaking patches on Sortitoutsi to fix what they had to do.

The download is up! Go to the SIGAMES forum and look in the general questions for the sticky thread about North American Users, its on the 8th page.

Is there any reason to download WSM over Football Manager? It's the same exact game right?

Any difference in FM and WSM this time around?
