Let me give at least an honorable mention to Taffarel: always underappreciated in Brazil... except when it came to shootouts.
Vai que é sua Taffarel!!!

Goyochea...his WC 90 performance is still the benchmark in my eyes.

I would say Goyochea. Where would Argentine be without him in 1990????
Then, I also like Taffarel....
We should credit Friedel with the win against Mexico at Cope America 1995.

#1 Friedel 7 of 11 saves in the past 2 EPL season plus International duty
#2 Toldo. I cant remember the amounts of saves I've seen him make...Arsenal in the Champions League, and the 5 he saved (2 regular time, 3 in the PK shootout) vs Holland in Euro 2000 come to mind

Oliver Kahn...just think back to the Champions League final in 2001. If the game was on the line I would want him in goal.

I remember watching Dida for Brazil in Copa 99, I thought he was pretty good, picking them out of corners, but I'd love to have either Freidel or Toldo in goal for me.

I believe Friedel has saved over 50% of all pk's taken against him for his entire pro career.

Sao Taffarel was always appreciated by me. Dida is an excellent penalty saver.

can't really take toldo's saves against Holland into consideration...Holland not exactly known for making pk's...Jaap Stam's pk still hasn't landed yet

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. I would've thought LEV YASHIN would've been mentioned already.
Oh well.
Lev Yashin.
