so if it will be avaible in American, who will play Pele?? Will Smith??? Denzel Washington??? So it will be about a small boy from the street of Brazil grew up to be the star player for the NY Cosmos? On the way, he happened to win the WC three times(edited out due to the duration of the field). Andrew Shue should get a part. :)

By who's making it and the small budget, you can be sure it will have no name American actors in it.
That's not saying that it won't be great but just that the budget is not one that could hire any name actors unless they did it for love of the project.
Here's the story on another site:

Silvester Stalone wanted it but was refused because he got himself typecast as a goalie.
Because of her hispanic name Jaylo is the romantic interest and Michael Kane plays the part of his manager.

Scene #1: A young Brazil boy kicking a tin can or a home-made soccer ball somewhere in Brazil..... he accidently found a beat-up magazine. In it, he saw a photo of NYC. He said to myself: "Someday, I will move away from this ghetto and live in the United States..... the land of the free and home of brave."
Scene #2: He made the Santos team and was selected by the Brazilian NT.
Scene #3: After winning the 1958 WC, Pele was seen weeping in the locker room. The whole world knew his name, but no one in the US does!!!!!
Scene #4: Pele won his third WC..... he was about the retire. But his dream was not fullfilled.
Scene #5: Pele has nightmares all the time in his retirement. Something is missing..... he wanted to play in the US.
Scene #6: At a boardroom in Corp America, they decided to bring Pele out of retirement and to MLS(due to MLS sponsorship).
The movie begins....
Scene #7: The 40 year old Pele showed up at Metrostars training camp. He found the team full of misfits. The head coach is an alcoholic.... his former teammate is now working for the powerful and hated LA Galaxy. He also had a beautiful daughter who works as the GM and eventually falls in love with Pele.
Scene #8: The Metrostars falls apart....
Scene 9: Pele brings the team together.... it beats LA Galaxy in the MLS Cup Final.
Scene 10: Pele becomes an American citizen.... selected by the US National team.
Scene 11: Pele as the US Captain hweeps as the National anthem is played before the US plays Portugal in the first match WC 2002.

I always thought why there wasn´t a movie about a football player´s life... when there sooooooo many footabll players very interesting to show in a good movie.
My question is if this movie about Pele´s life is a Hollywood movie.

For what it's worth, 2.7M Brasil Real is about US$760,000.

It is low budget movie.... but if it becomes big, Hollywood might do an American version of it just they did with "Vanilla Sky". Then, I will sell my story to Hollywood.

If we Americans have something to say about the movie, Brad Friedel will be the scene stealer in the movie with some witty one-liners.

Let's take it this way. The posposed Senna movie was never filmed. Instead, Silvester Stalone made "Driven" in its place.

biopics tend to detract from the real thing judging by those on Bruce Lee and Cassius Clay - hey, maybe Eddie Murphy can play Pele'.
