I gathered together some suggestions from the Ideas thread, just to see which were popular. For an explanation of some of the names, look here (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=254134&page=1&pp=15).
I'm not sure what the final verdict on whether Warriors would be allowed or not was, so take that with a grain of salt.

Not sure if you can amend the poll but Iron and Iron Horse should be seperate options.

Bavarians, recognizes the German influence in Milwaukee. Of course, my absolute favorite would be the Keggers and Clint Mathis as the first allocation!

Well, it seemed Iron was more popular in the other thread, and they come from the same idea. Of course, to a lot of the country, I bet Iron Horse still means train, because that's what I think of.

Okay, so in honor of this poll I whipped up several different badges to give us an idea what we could see with each team name. If you have something else in mind, let me know. I'm still working on the Iron/Iron Horse with the twin engine, I just can't seem to get the badge to look just right. I also used what seemed to be the most popular colors on the team ideas thread. But colors are easy to change, it's the badge making that takes more of the work!

benchwarmer, i'd give you shxt about having too much time on your hands but I love what you're doing. Now if I could see one of the kits with a Miller High Life emblem across the chest instead of the Milwaukee, that would be sweet.

Repped. The Bavarians and 07 logo are fantastic and very professional. I like what I see. I hope Peter Wilt is looking and gives youa buzz. Great maketing and I hope you guys land a team soon.

I voted for Barons, but I'm warming to Iron Horse. The Iron by itself just doesn't work for me.

The inevitability of being referred to as the Iron Horses bugs me.

Milwaukee Iron Horse SC

* NOTE: Iron Horse SC replaces "Ride with the Wind" in the top banner, while Milwaukee replaces "Harley-Davidson" in the bottom banner. Team colors of Orange, Black, Silver/Grey and White. The name and imagery reference Harley-Davidson's connection to Milwaukee, the ownership stake of Pegasus ParkEast Partners and the mythic/legendary stature that we would hope that the team eventually achieves... all while "soaring above" the competition.

Wow, Benchwarmer! Those are excellent! I don't even like most of the names we've come up with so far, but those designs are awesome. To follow in everyone else's footsteps, you've been repped again.
I'm lukewarm about Barons. I feel like it's missing something, like it doesn't quite roll off the tongue well enough for me. Maybe as something like, "Milwaukee Soccer Club" or "SC Milwaukee" or something (I don't actually mind "FC" and I think it's tame enough to not be "eurosnobbish") and then we were just commonly referred to as "The Barons". I kind of like that, but I can't get with "The Milwaukee Barons". I have the same problem with the other names we've come up with too.

I like the idea of giving the team a german style name.
I'd go for 1. AFC Milwaukee.

I still like Milwaukee Iron Football Club. With the Orange and black kit and the yet to be created V-twin badge.
But my second choice would be Milwaukee Barons Football Club. I love the badge that is displayed above. And I think a green and black, or green and white kit would be a nice addition to MLS.
NOTE: There's always a lot of debate about the designation. I prefer FC. But I consider FC, SC, or AFC to all be appropriate for use in the United States. And of course most MLS clubs use no designation. Including the club I support. DC United.

I would modify "wolves" to the Milwaukee Wolfpack. Barons has a great, unique ring to it. Irons doesn't make sense to me. 5-Iron? 7-Iron? Heck, I'm not much of a golfer. Milwaukee Putters? I don't think so. Seriously, does it have something to do with an iron foundry?

Milwaukee Iron is a referrence to the Harley-Davidson Motor Company. Which is based in Milwaukee. Harley-Davidson motorcycles are commonly known as Milwaukee Iron.

Iron just kinds of bothers me because it reminds me of "Mutiny" "Fusion" and "Clash" as well as "Heat" "Magic" and "Wiz"............if you're gonna name a team please give it the s at the end or FC/SC/AFC
"Crew" "Burn" "GHHHHHHHHH"

Possibly not "commonly" enough, though. I didn't know, and I'm from the area. They'd have to do some market research on the recognizeability before adopting that name.
As for the above comment: I've gotten used to collective names like Fire, Heat, Magic, Burn or Galaxy, but I once agreed that they sound a bit stupid (not Fire, of course).
