For some of the new guys who might not be aware of this, you can watch live Villareal (as well as other euro teams) games online using streaming programs such as PPlive, Coolstreaming, PPstream, sopcast, QQlive, TvAnts etc. IMHO PPLive is slightly better than the others. PPLive is at www.pplive.com (http://www.pplive.com/)

For instance, champions league games for this week:

Tues:
2:45pm ET Bayern v Juventus - DragonTV
5:00pm ET Bayern v Juventus - Soccer,Guangdong (Delay)

Wed:
2:45pm ET Chelsea v Betis - Soccer,Shanghai
2:45pm ET AC Milan v PSV - DragonTV
5:00pm ET AC Milan v PSV - Soccer (Delay)

The ManUnited, and Real Madrid game you can watch on ESPN2.

This was posted somewhere before:

Search for PPlive, Coolstreaming, PPstream, sopcast, QQlive, TvAnts etc. and download them. IMHO PPLive is slightly better than the others. They are all p2p programs, kind of like torrent sharing and the more people connected to a stream the better the stream quality will be, provided your internet connection is fast enough. Fast cable/DSL connections of at least 512kbps should be good enough. Anything above 1mbps is perfect. It won't work with a dial-up connection. The vast mojority of channels are in chinese.

PPLive:

Once you have downloaded and installed the program, double click on the PPLive icon on your desktop. A small silver icon will appear at the bottom right hand corner of your computer monitor in the taskbar. Right click on it and select the 3rd option from the bottom, the one that says "switch language" to switch to English intead of the default language, Chinese. Right-click again and go to channel list, select a channel, wait a fews seconds to load, and windows media player should pop up and start showing the game. To find out what's on PPLive go to http://www.pplive.it/ or to find out what games are going to be on that day go to http://en.coolstreaming.it/forum/

Football forums/schedules:

There are many football forums that will list all the games on these streaming programs together with links. A few of these include www.football4less.com (http://www.football4less.com/) , http://p2ptv-guide.cja.biz/ , www.freefootball.uk.tt (http://www.freefootball.uk.tt/) , and www.freefooty.org (http://www.freefooty.org/) In addition to these they will also give you links to streams that do not require software including an Israeli TV station called Livesports.

Livesports is to be found at www.livesports.co.il (http://www.livesports.co.il/) register, respond to the email they send you by clicking the long link in the middle (it won't make much sense unless you speak hebrew), wait 24-48 hours and you should be able to log-in, view the schedules and watch games, alternatively the Livesports links can also be found in the forums listed above as well as many others without the need to register directly.

The current version of PPLive is 1.0.9.7 and can be downloaded here:

http://www.pplive.com/download/PPLiveSetup1.0.9.7.exe

The difference from the older 1.0.7.4 is the inclusion of the PPLive player, which you don't have to use, you can still use Windows Media Player. The new version installs in a different directory, so you can have both versions on your PC. The important application is the PPLive engine which after having been downloaded and installed from the above link, will now be on your desktop.

Still no English channel list, therefore we must translate the channel list on the PPLive website. The following link has the current sports channels available:

http://world.altavista.com/babelfish...of_zOU000.html (http://world.altavista.com/babelfish/trurl_pagecontent?lp=zh_en&trurl=http://www.pplive.com/web/html/newversion__catof_zOU000.html) ...but WAIT, open up the PPlive "engine" first, wait for the little box with the animated arrow to pop up on the systray (bottom right hand corner of the task bar) and then click on the channel link.

Older PPLive version

If you want the older version 1.0.7.4 get it from here:

http://www3.pplive.com/download/PPLiveSetup.exe

Only links that begin with the protocol pplive:// will load in version 1.0.7.4. The other links (synacast:// ) will bring a "check your network connection" error message, which means you have to use the newer version if you wanna watch this channel.

The latest version of PPLive is 1.0.9.8 and can be downloaded here (rapidshare link for faster download)

http://rapidshare.de/files/7523287/PPLiveSetup1.0.9.8.exe.html

Still no channel list in English, but it's a big improvement over previous versions. Channels load very fast without any buffering.
