dude, even I don't think Asia deserves 6 spots.
You thought Saudi Arabia against Germany looked bad, I don't even feel good THINKING about the Thais in the World Cup.
China sucks.
I think 1998 got it right: Korea, Japan, S Arabia, Iran.
Actually I think the AFC should swallow up Australia and New Zealand to make things more interesting. Then you'd have 8 legitimate teams battling for 4 spots.

my hope is that in Oceania, they do not get an automatic spot.....i just cant understand what the confederation as a whole has done to warrant it.....its clear that its a 2 team confederation and until fiji, vanuatu, tahiti, and the solomon islands become respectable and challenge globally, OFC should stay as is, or merge with Asia, which Asia is willing to do as they would be bringing in 10 teams, 8 of which are not threats to their spots

It's irrelevant what they've done, they are a fully fledged confederation like all the others and it is the WORLD Cup after all which should represent all parts of the WORLD
Asia doesn't want Oceania in it, Australia tried to shut it down and merge into Asia a few years ago and that vote got lost 150 something to 1
20 years ago CONCACAF was virtually a 1 team federation also
The deal to give Oceania their own spot has been done (with Asia's blessing) so deal with it
