Dan did you see that the Live CD from the Wilco shows in April goes on sale in a few weeks. That should be a keeper.
yeah, i think its the second week of november. i'm definetly picking it up. wonder what "I am the man who loves you" they picked!?!? isn't there a DVD too? I hope they have the messed up one on the DVD under special features or something like that.

How many times have we asked each other the following question...

"If you could be sure of CL success, would you give up the prem title?"

I'm starting to feel that this might be the reality this year and I still don't know how I feel about it.

Sorry, I know that was not really OT.

yeah I'm for it. actually I was at the Globe watching the game with Lucky, Farra, Rich, and Pikey Brian. My stove was supposed to get fixed, dude was missing a part so I ended up watching the game instead. We all reached the same conclusion. :D

i'm going to take the test for one of my insurance classes on a day that Arsenal have a midweek game. The tests start at noon and should only take like 30 minutes, but I don't have to go back to work, because they think they take a few hours!

I don't see a dvd release scheduled as of now.
I wonder if they scrapped that idea after the Saturday show went 'bad'?

It's starting to look like I've scored tix to Sat and Sun at The Cell.

you lucky SOB

my bro got through and went to pay. it took a minute for the bar to go halfway and then there was an error.

if a DVD does get released I bet the no electric version of the song is on there. I have the live Guster DVD, and they messed up a song. The special features as the screwup (with the second take on the DVD and Live CD). A computer went down and they had to reboot it. While the computer was rebooting the drummer sang the "50 States Song". quite funny

I hate ticketbastard. Will rant about that some other time, I'm in too good a mood to ruin it.

I still have to check out Guster. Always mean to pick something of theirs up but forget.

I'd appreciate that. I'll let you know the next time I can make it over. I've not been for about 6 weeks and that's starting to bother me. Life is ust nutty right now.

I see the game is on at 2:00 on Saturday (which is delay, I believe). I think I'll probably catch on gamecast instead of waiting for that.

GP, not sure. I can dig around and look.

Doug, i'll be at the playoff game. not going to Bloomington until early saturday morning!

edit: GP, the album would be "Lost and Gone Forever" which is a fantastic album. I'm not sure if Page is on all the songs or just a few of them. It has some of my favorites!

i still can't find which song it is, i'm looking on the net, and I've only got a burned copy, so therefore, no liner notes.

Steve Lillywhite produced the album. Karl Denson is also a guest on that album.

Dan, In the absence of my Bravos count me among those rooting for the Sox. Seem like an admirable side overall. That being said, who would you rather see them face in the series? If it's ChiSox and Cards, do you think the Cubby fans will simply die!?!

If I've missed this earlier, my bad.

thanks!

nope, i haven't seen a discussion on what Cubs fans would do with a Sox/Cards series. I think they would want the stadium to blow up. I'm not sure who I want the Sox to face. The Astros have great pitching and timely hitting, much like the White Sox. The Cards have OK pitching, but their bats scare me. And after Pujols hit that homer I'm really scared of him.

from phish.com

Guster: Lost and Gone Forever (1999, with Page McConnell)

is that the album you have?

EDIT: from guster.com

Page McConnell from Phish added theremin to a tune at the end of the project. Otherwise, just about all the other noises on the album came from the three of us.

i've got that one. I've got all of Guster's studio albums, plus the live one, although I can't find the hard copy of the live one, just the copy I've ripped onto my computer.

i can throw them in with the Matt Nathanson show.

excellent.

do you know if any record companies have offices in Chicago? we're talking rock music, that sort of thing, not blues and jazz (which there are a few of in Chicago)? A coworker just got laid off and used to do communications stuff. A group met for drinks last night after work and he was talking about trying to find a job in the music industry in Chicago somewhere.
