Yeah, Id have to agree that as of now Veron has been a huge disappointment.
Heskey is in an enigma all of his own :)

Veron has turned into a class midfielder this season...definitely is putting up his defense for that price tag so far.
Heskey...is a class centerforward. Sure he doesn't score bags of goals, but he's a powerhouse and does the job that Houllier asks of him.

Sorry cant agree there, a striker for me by definition MUST score goals, and he doesn't get enough. I like Heskey, but I think there are better strikers to be had. The only mitigating circumstances for EH is that he has been played on the left wing for numerous games.
(you watch him pop up with the winner today :) )
VERON was a class midfielder, he came to England with the tag of 'one of the best in the world', quite simply so far this season he hasn't lived up to that title! There's no doubting he's a good player, but mayeb he needs this season to settle.

This season thus far, Heskey has been used primarily as a winger, using his pace and power to get to the touchline and swing in crosses...which he has done without problem. But overall, I think if Heskey were guaranteed a spot up top, he would flourish, his confidence would increase, and we would see the goals come.
As for Veron, he was class in Italy, came over and was pure shite. But as of late, he has been coming into form, maybe not his Lazio form, but he has put in some great performances as of late.

I'll agree to a point about choosing Veron especially if his price tag is brought into the equation.
His main problem has been Utd's style which hasn't suited him down to the ground. Of late though, and it coincides with wanker Keane not being there, he's found a bit of form to suggest that his stay in Manchester may not be as fleeting as all would have thought.
I hope (for his sake) that the re-introduction of Keane won't mess things up for him again. And having just lost to Blackburn - with Keane back in, bringing to an end, the winning stretch (when Keane wasn't in and Veron was playing well), let's all hope that Keane is the one that will be superfluous to requirements.
And my vote for overrated? Wiltord has done nothing of late. Arsenal fans may let me know what bonus he gives the team when repetitively not scoring.

Nitro, what made you decide quit school to become a football reporter? With talent like this you could go easily be working for the SUN.

Darren Anderton has never really shown me much for all the hype he gets as an England national team player.
I'd add Beckham to this list if you are talking about how he's played this year in particular. And even generally, he's sooo overhyped that it would be tough not to consider him overrated...unless he indeed is god. On the contrary, I could name a handful of wingers I'd take over him, even when he's on form: Giggs, Robert, Pires...others?

when he left everton for arsenal last season he was the new wonder kid very highly rated, even overseas clubs showing interest. but since the move, nothing couple of games at most.

Robbie Keane, El Hadj Diouf, Wes Brown, Alan Smith, Norberto Solano, Frederic Kanoute.
Most overrated player in the History of the EPL: Gary friggin Speed. What does he do?

He's been injured and playing for a manager who doesn't seem to like young English players.

Well Wiltord just won Arsenal the EPL title last seasons by scoring crucial goals during the last games of the season. This season he has already scored 8 Premiership goals while playing on a miedfield position. If he is the most overrated player in the EPL, well the other 220 players must be pretty good!!

Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs
A few powerful volleyed goals and a handful of mazy runs do not make you world class.
