Yes. In hattrick, a bot is code for automatic victory. Which is why I'm excited about my series this year, as the two teams replacing the promotees are bots, and, given the lack of new teams entering SL, it's entirely possible it will stay that way all year (and even if a user does take over, that team will suck).

So, just got my new team. The Disneyland Cricket Club. Mickey will be so proud...
So should I approach this like I approach Hattrick? In other words, hire a great coach and just train one thing?
Yeah, I'm probably going to ask a lot of stupid questions as I know very little about the sport...

nope. hire at least 3 physios, 3 financial officers, and 3 PR people. You have 10 training slots. get some batting coaches, bowling coaches, and a wicketkeeper coach (if you're keeper needs some training). Also, put the max 12,000 into your youth academy and start pulling players every week. I've got 3 bowling, 4 batting, 1 keeping, and 2 fitness coaches, along with 8 physios, 3 finance, and 3 PRs.
if you are training someone for fielding then their concentration or concistency will pop sooner

hire at least one of each for the PRs, financial, and phyios. I didn't do my youth academy until later and probably missed out. I got lucky and was given a decent squad where all i had to do was train some people. I didn't purchase anyone in the transfer market until way late in the season. If you get a good youth academy going you can just sell your youth pulls right away for some quick cash. Maybe someone who started out with all that stuff can post. I would suggest hiring all 10 coaches though so you can maximize your training.

horrible youth pull.
abysmal on everything. I've had one good one and the rest have been rubbish. I got one pop, stamina.

My youth pull was my worst ever, I wonder if they tweaked the youth pull calculator down a notch :(

When you train this guy in bowling, make sure you also train him in fielding it will increase the rate of his consistency training by at least 50%. (With physcs. of course)
Apparently fielding and w/k training increases the speed of secondary skills concentration/consistency if you are also training them in their primary skill.

I'm still getting used to prioritizing training. I was fortunate enough to get some good young bowlers, but they can't hit or field worth a Shi'ite, and they've got the stamina of Woody Allen. I'd love to train them all in everything, but it looks like the 20 year old proficient bowler is going to have to stay fat, uncoordinated and easily distracted.

Your opponent (KC Hammers) won every friendly this season and promoted from series V to series III in England.
Oh BTW I officially hate him and told him so Friday night! ;)
