My bowlers did well but now that I'm up to bat I'm not doing so well: End of Over 2: 7-2, runrate=3.50, reqrunrate=3.29 (164-10)

its all about funding the youth system... I've max funded it from the get go and have gotten great pulls lately.

My boys did well in the last 20 overs bowling... after not taking any wickets in the first 30 overs we managed to bowl them out in 48.2 w/ 7 wickets coming in the last 8 overs.

my main bowler Elding was expensive giving up 60 runs but he took 5 wickets so I'm not upset and my other bowlers were stingy to make up for it.

In response my fresh new youth pull managed a whopping 5runs and I don't think I'll let him open again, I'll put my keeper or my allrounder.

I got my best pull (proficient batting plus decent concentration who's now at strong/strong) when my YS still sucked.

Norse AC won the cup tie by 214 runs... 325-5 vs. 111 all out. Proficient top-order rating plus competent seam bowling.

I agree. This early in a simulation I think it bodes well to get that youth squad up and running quickly so that the future players (of all the teams) are based/built on your youth pulls. I waited till I was solvent to start investing though. Didn't take long but I didn't want to send my club under early. Haven't pulled anyone wonderful yet.

Oh, and yes, I'm going to lose this cup match. I may not lose all my wickets, but I'm not going to be able to make up for the other teams 310 runs.

Won comfortably in the 32nd over. Stupid runout stopped Wilkey from getting back to back hundreds, he was flowin man.

still win easy though and it was nice to see my 4 and 5 batsmen get stuck in as they've not been stellar thus far (to be honest they've either come in when we've lost wickets quickly or with very few overs remaining) and Jackson's quick fire 65 was superb.

I won in the 33rd over with only 3 batters out. Not a bad performace.

easy win for me. they hit 197 all out form 49.3 overs. The had a last wicket stand of like 70 runs. I want to know if thats a Battrick record. I lost two wickets and won in like 38 overs, good recovery from my poor league performance.

I had an unbeaten 72 run partnership for the last wicket before running out of overs once, but that was in a friendly. If its any consolation it was against KCHammers so I'm proud of that.

Either way, those guys did well.

thats a good one. I checked the score card and the last wicket stood for 71 runs. Not bad for those two players, seeing as it was their fourth game, and they both had never had to bat before.

Keep or sell this guy:

Ben Shadlock - 19 yo, BT Rating=4,397
LH Batsman, LM Bowler, respectable form, Healthy
A defensive player with proficient leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: woeful Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: respectable Concentration: abysmal
Bowling: abysmal Consistency: feeble
Fielding: mediocre

And how much do you think I could get for him?

Here are my batting trainees:
20 yo - Pro Batter/Fee Conc
20 - Res - Comp
20 Com - Med
18 Med- Woe

I am thinking to sell the 18 yo instead and train the guy above even though his Conc is horrible. Also, Concentration increases faster when combined with fielding training as well correct?

yeah, train him in fielding and batting and his conc will go up quicker.

I am, but I played my first non-bot yesterday, and he wasn't that good. But I play my main series rival next week. That should be exciting.

John, you'll probably get at least 150k for him, considering he's strong in two areas. But since he's 19, it might drop his price a little bit. The 18 yo could go for a similar amount as well. Prices seem way inflated to me. It's definitely a seller's market.

Raises hand - still can't believe it. Although to be honest I haven't faced a real club yet. By real club I mean someone who has had their team long enough to know what to do with it.

I am.

anybody know when the next fixtures will be up? I'm kinda anctious to see who I'll play. I hit a bump in the road in the league already which I might be able to recover from later on in the season but for the forseeable future I've got a cakewalk in the league so I'll be going deep into the cup (hopefully)
