Hey, I just checked my youth squad and it seems to have been reset back to Useless. Anyone else have this problem? I've been contributing 12k to it for a while now and it had climbed out of the cellar and at least to mediocrity prior to this week.

I've emailed the devs but wondered if any of you noticed this.

Played my main rival, and he beat me with 7 ********ing balls remaining. A batsman who was in superb form crapped the bed and only got two runs. Argh! I'm so pissed.

Could be worse... my then-proficient batsman put up a duck against KC Hammers, although I'm not sure his form was quite that good then. More recently, he only got two runs on four balls in the cup match.

I'm not going to complain about getting a good player, but it makes for a bit of a dilemma in the nets sessions. I'm still trying to squeeze some concentration and consistency pops out of my older players who are otherwise very skillful, and I haven't even got the sessions I'd like for my now-18 proficient batsman.

Current session allocations:
2xbatting, 1xfielding, 1xfitness - Sulieman Seargeant, 18, strong batting / strong concentration
1xbatting - Allan Steele, 19, proficient fielding, mediocre wicket-keeping, and feeble batting
1xbowling - Theodore Cort, 18, respectable bowling / competent consistency
1xbowling - Marvin Dempster, 19, mediocre bowling / respectable consistency
1xfitness - Thom Pook, 18, proficient batting / abysmal concentration
1xfielding - Chris Surman, 23, feeble concentration and mediocre consistency to go with respectable batting and competent bowling
1xfitness - Williams Cox, 21, competent fielding, competent batting / competent concentration

Seargeant has four of the ten sessions, which goes without saying when you consider his skillset. With feeble stamina and feeble fielding, I'm trying to increase both a bit, the stamina to increase his staying power and the fielding to round him out a bit.

I'd like to make Steele useful at the bat so that he becomes more useful as a versatile fill-in type player. If he had even mediocre batting, the fielding would be nice to be able to use, or he could fill in a wicket-keeper.

Cort could actually use another session or two, as a good young bowling prospect.

Dempster isn't the best prospect, but given his age and skills I'd still like to improve him a bit.

Pook needs batting sessions, but I'm not sure where to ge them at this point.

Surman and Cox both need a little additional rounding out. Surman I'm just trying to improve his concentration and consistency a little bit more so that I can make better use of his skills -- he's usually a good all-arounder for me. Cox has good skills (especially with the fielding) but is only at feeble stamina. These are guys that I will really need to think seriously about stopping training.

You have two choices:

1) Dump the old guys and give this guy the training to become a top-level batsman.

2) Post the guy at like 10k. I swear, he'll go up to about 200k at least. Happened with me.

I might drop the batting training on Steele... I have an older option for a wicket-keeper, and the net session would probably be better spent on either Clairmonte or Pook.

if you can get Clairmonte's Concentration to pop a few times he'll sell for really high, but like distrunner said he'll sell for high right now. Take away Cox's fielding (unless he really sucks) and train Clarimonte in fielding or fitness with a good amount of psych's and he should pop in concentration fairly soon and you can sell him for even more.


edit: I've got a 28 year old, competant bat/abysmal concentration/mediocre stamina going for 60,060 right now. I listed him at 50K and got no bids until today, of which I've gotten three. Seeing as your guy is a better batsmen and has better concentration with a little worse stamina he should go for 100K easy, unless people with new teams just like 28 year olds with ok skills.

A guy in SL has put together a hatstats like site (http://battrick-srilanka.coolinc.info/) for the country. Currently, it only takes down stats for II series matches, but it's still pretty cool.

With my respectable YS I pulled an abysmal 19 yo bowler and fired him. Batting was also abysmal and WK was worse.
