Just curious who everyone liked. I personally like Cristian Mora, but Edwin Villafuerte had saved some goals vs. Chile!
Damian Lanza was supposed to be a big stud, but he isn't even used in his club team, which is quite sad...
Is it safe to say the Cevallos era is over??
Daniel Viteri is an excellent PK stopper.

anyway, make your votes!

Villafuerte by far.

In what way do you feel he is superior over Mora?

he has better presence, he is better cuttin crosses, he is way more experienced, he commands better his defense, and is extremely efective on 1vs1. His reflexes are superb. Very Focused on the pitch.
But if there is something I can criticize of him, is his out of field behaviour.

I like Villa!
Just cause we started w/ the same coach and used to play together in the Francisco de Orellana! :D

question:
Why some people seem to hate Cevallos?

I don't hate him, but he took alot of blame for Ecuador losing to Chile 3-1 in the friendly last year and that embarrassing loss to Jordon. that was the last game he played. I just think Mora and Villafuerte are younger and getting the experience now is important.

i actually wouldnt mind seeing cevallos back on the nt to see how well his game is doing- u never know, he might be playing better than mora/villafuerte- his experience is very valuable and wouldnt mind trying him out in friendlies. Out of Mora and Villafuerte, for some reason i trust Villafuerte more so i would have to say him.... but i dont think ive seen enough of mora thats why

no way Cevallos shoudl ever come back! i will never forget what he has done for us, and he was probably the best keeper we ever had, but he can't handle anymore. he got 6 goals in his last 2 games, that means he is done.

I voted Villafuerte, but I like Mora too. But I agree, Mora is not convincing in the air, as Villafuerte is, but he might be a little faster to react, but I am not sure, since Villafuerte played a very strong game against Chile.

it's a toss up, but Mora has the momentum at the very moment, since he took the spot from Villafuerte. Edwin would have to do something really special for Suarez to bump Mora down. I am not saying it isn't possible, but I can't imagine it for now, unless Mora suffers an injury.
but it is a very comforting thought that we have a very capable keeper on the bench, waiting for his chance, something until recently Ecuador lacked.

Mora just got a red card in his last game. WHat happened exactly??
