Thought I'd start this now so everyone can comment on what you might think may be the outcome, the team hasn't been made available yet, but the only doubtful will be Carroll, although Pards seem's confident that he'll start, there again AP's always confident, that's what I like about him, I've given up on predictions, I just want 3 more points, if my maths are right, and that's doubtful, a win will take us to 5th spot.

Good man Claret. Tho I'm a bit worried about the Pearce/Pardew/Sheringham love fest that is preceeding the game in the media.

Pearce may get on with our guys. He's so competative he may well kick Teddy in the balls before the game starts. I think Pardew is very much the same.
My concern is with teams that we would think would loose winning i.e WBA and Wigan. Pressure to get results to stay away from the danger zone becomes higher. Thats part and parcel of football though.

All this luvvie-duvvieness should be balanced by the fact that A Cole and Teddy apparently can't stand each other, been going on since their time at ManU together.
Think this one will be close and there'll be just one goal to separate the teams, could go either way. Let's hope and pray those three points will be coming back to East London.
COME ON YOU IRONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Good to see us re-group the last 20 minutes or so, but before that we were complete crap. So many easy give aways and no decent crosses. What happened to Repka? He was playing so well and now has had two nightmares back to back. I hope he can rebound because Daily isn't the answer at right back.

Listened to the game on BBC 5 live - online.
It sounded as if City wanted it more, they seemed first to the tackle and played with more conviction, or so the commentry would lead us to believe.
The Beeb write up points to Marlene falling over again, looking for a free-kick instead of getting on with it. That gets right on my thrupennies, the big tart.
Sounded like Yossi had an OK game.
Anybody watch it and can fill in for the visually impaired (OK I could have gone to the pub but I am a lazy arse after all).

watched the game on telly and here's a few observations:
-I don't think mullins is the answer in midfield. January will see the need for a prem quality midfielder. let's face it we have no-one who can command the middle of the park for us. mullins gave the ball away 11 times by my count between the 1st goal going in and the 2nd (and I likely missed a few). I don't know who could fill that role for west ham? sidwell? jagielka? holland? I don't even know who's available.
-most of our earlier games saw us closing players down and generally keeping the other team off their game. sunderland and man city saw little real effort (until the last 20 mins when both those teams sat back a bit). if west ham don't put in the application and endeavour we are going to struggle to stay up.
-etherington was overall poor for me today. nearly always second best for the ball. weak passing and lousy first touch (although that criticism can be levelled at most of the team). he should have been replaced earlier in my opinion, and someone such as an alliadiere or bellion should come on and try their pace and guile.
-pardew needed to rig the changes much earlier than he did, but then again is our bench much more effective than what's out there...?
-benayoun looked one of the only bright spots today. he was obviously trying. thing is when he plays through the middle he is a much more effective player than trying to come in off the wing, as we have seen against sunderland and man city.
-repka... well he was useless today, nuff said. where's clive clarke these days?
-zamora looked lively and full of running for the short time he got. well taken goal.
I think we are beginning to see the lack of depth in the squad. Inconsistency has been the trade-mark of some of these players and it seems to be coming back. etherington and mullins in particular cannot afford to be so up and down in their performances.
But it begs the question, who can replace them?
I fear we are going to see far more of todays type of performances away from home this season than the one at fulham. Let's hope Fortress Upton Park can hold-out at least until the new year.
COME ON U IRONS!!!!!

My computer crashed so I ordered it on Pay per view. 20 bucks down the tube.
Repka was utterly useless in the first half.
Matty was not at his best. In the second half, it seemed that he and Konchesky switched out a lot b/c Konchesky was getting a bit down the left and trying to cross.
Marlon was ineffective. The ref got in his head early and he did little but moan for most of the match.
Teddy ... two or three really sublime touches that led to some good opportunities. Not much else b/c he got little service.
Yossi ... I still think he needs to be more central than out on the right.
Mullins ... his gaffe led to the second City goal. Looked like we were playing a sagging defense there and gave way too much space to the City forwards.
Carroll made the stops he should make.
Um, I am sure there is more but I can't think of it.
Overall, the purple patch at the beginning of the season is gone and now the hard work begins. We were very second best out there today.
