Hi guys, there are currently two Canadian women playing here at UTEP, have they ever played for the National Team? Are they considered future prospects? I unfortunately didn't get a chance to go see them play this year, but maybe when I transfer there next semester.

Melissa Abraham Don't believe they have been involved at senior or U19 level but not positive. If they haven't been involved they are unlikely prospects. Newcomers to the Canadian women's team tend to be introduced from the younger age groups and be in their early teens. Never say never though.

Wasn't there a player from UTEP that plays for the Ottawa Fury? I'm too lazy to look it up though. ;)
I think it was Kelly Parker, but I'm not sure.

We get alot of ladies from Canada down here at UTEP. Yes alot of them play or have played with The Fury. Kelly Parker led the nation I think in '02 for most assists in college play, she's assistant Coach at UTEP right now. Also Kelly And Melissa Abraham are on the '05 Fury roaster. UTEP is 18-2-1 in C-USA right now. Two years ago we had this Canadian lady Cristine McCartney (sp) a foward, Damn the gal was FAST! I wish she was still around we'ld probably be 21-0-0. Them Canadian ladies can sure play!
Adios, Coach Kip
