Couple of thoughts:
1) I agree, there was little coverage of people of color today that were killed. Not unusual, black people are only shown in mugshots on the news. Example: The little girl in Philly (I believe) that was kidnapped. Only after she freed herself did we hear about it.
2) Is Bison confirmed as dead?
3) About four years ago, Stackhouse was a scorer who wasn't willing to do anything else, i.e. defend, find open teammates, rebound, etc. So now that he has developed more of an all-around game, Detroit's traded him for Rip Hamilton, aka the '98 Vintage Stackhouse. Nice move.
4) Clinton is a genius. It's too bad he spent eight years moving to the center. He was the greatest Republican president ever.

On September 11, 2001
We were not Black men nor white.
We were not Latino nor Asian.
We were not Democrats nor Republicans.
We were not Yankees nor Southerners.
We were not conservative nor liberal.
On September 11, 2001.
We were the people who arrived at Logan airport, at Newark Airport, not knowing they were about to be used in a senseless attack.
We were the people at the WTC, settling in for a day of work, drinking their coffee, taking what was probably their last look at the NYC skyline.
We were the Pentagon worker, horrified by the news out of NYC not knowing the same fate would soon befall them.
We were the people of NY covered with ash, dazed, confused and scared.
We were the people forced to leap to escape the collapsing towers of NY.
We were the people of Washington, DC, tense, apprehensive, not knowing what to do.
We were the people of Houston, Miami, LA, Seattle, Omaha, Philly, all speechless, all saddened, all angry at what had occured on our shores.
On September 11, 2001, we were one.
On September 11, 2001,
we
were
Americans

Bill Clinton was a rhode scholar actually, a very smart man. Unfortuantely he was also morally challenged, like most presidents. Bush is corrupt, Clinton was terribly corrupt, as was Reagan. Carter was pretty honest but he wasn't a good president either.
My whole thing with people saying Bill Clinton was black because he cheated on his wife and smoked blunts (which I have heard from many black people), well isn't that a sad indictment on the state of black America, at least in those people's eyes that have this view? I ask this as a serious question.
Especially when you look at the fact that Clinton did several political things that the National Black Caucaus disagreed with.

I agree with you on most accounts but the reason many people FIRST started calling him the first Black President was because he was an outsider who got rid of a Rhodes Scholar and was criticized and undermined by the Republicans at every opportunity. Unfortunately, he was stupid enough to get caught at what man power in this country to do all the time.

Myhouse I need therapy after the stackhouse trade. I know after the day we had yesterday that this pales in comparison but I am really upset about this.
He was actually really good in the community too. He was good with charity and salso i would see him at the local coney island in rochester and he was a cool guy. Plus he was the pistons best player.
what should I do? who can I turn to?

Hey, easy, Ted.
Richard Hamilton's scoring average has been gradually improving, although with Jordan on the Wiz last year, it went down a bit. But he's a very good shooter, can drive the ball to the hole with a quick first step, and doesn't turn the ball over trying to force bad shots.
I don't know why the Pistons decided to trade Stack, but you've got Clifford Robinson, right? Can't he emerge as a scorer at the forward spot? You've got Ben Wallace, def. player of the year, owning the boards, and Hamilton's a swing player so if need be he could play some small forward -- something I don't think Stack would've done too well.
This trade could benefit both teams, so I wouldn't pull the alarm just yet.
Hey, House, you got any India Arie pics?

OK Another House dig:
1. Venus and Serena Williams. Who would you pick in a winner take all match?
2. This might have been asked a while back, but your take on the WNBA. Lisa Leslie the greatest player ever? Women dunking the ball is no big deal--yes? no?
Don't forget, Eddie Pope bobblehead night September 19! You need to get your hands on one!
