Overall not a bad movie. As long as you go in with the understanding that this is not an action film or a romantic film or a suspense film, but a stylized example of film noir, then you'll appreciate it for what it is. I wish the storyline and some of the character plots were either delved into a bit more or less, instead of the attempt to make the movie look like a film noir picture with typical cinematography. That said, if you can appreciate a film of that genre, then I'd reccomend you check it out.

There was another thread on this earlier, but in that one I said this ..... the film is outstanding subtextually, but kinda boring and predictable in its plot, to the point that I never thought the lay viewer would enjoy it that much.

I loved it. My friend keeps comparing it to Unforgiven, talking about why we are violent and the impact of being violent has on us and our family.
