Okay was reading "Q" magazine and they mentioned that a Roses re-grouping may be in order at the end of this year. That's from memory, but sounds promising.
Next - read John Robb's book on the band. Pretty good. Got it for only $3 from half.com.

For a tour, or a studio album? A tour would be great, but Ian Brown hasn't sang in key at a concert, since, ever, so I'm told.

Album and possible tour. They know the money would be huge and they appear to need some cash.

It's a close run thing between them and the Cult when I've seen them for the winner in the best live band/worst live singer competition.
Would love to see the Roses again though. Even though Ian Brown was umm 'not great', musically it was fantastic.

Browns voice wouldn't really be an issue because the whole crowd would sing along with all the songs.

I have a hard time believing this. Ian Brown's solo career is very successful, Mani is doing really in Primal Scream and Reni doesn't appear to care about anything at all.
Now, John Squire would most certainly be up for it, I'd imagine.

Seriously, why do you think Anthony Kiedis suddenly started actually singing instead of that weird shout/rap thing he did for so long? It ain't cause he suddenly started taking voice lessons...

I've seen Ian Brown play recently, and I can guarantee he doesn't know anything about this.

What is this you are talking about?

Squire wants to make another solo album, then get the band together for an album and tour. If the chemistry is back, then great for us.

This rumour has come up every month since 1996.
Brown was recently asked if he would ever reform the Roses and he went off on a rant about how it would 'never ever ever ever happen, not in a milion years', I beleive it has something to do with the fact he absolutely despises John Squire
there goes your reunion

I have those. They are awesome.
Yeah, I have a hard time believing this one as well. I'd love to see it happen, seeing as how I love the Stone Roses, but Ian is doing great by himself (Solarized is a great album, pick it up), and he doesn't really like Squire.
And with that, I'll go listen to some I Wanna Be Adored.

Great website, and if you want to laugh and have 55 minutes to spare, check out the Live Performance at the Reading Festival in 96, then you'll see why the band broke up.

He also said back then he'd never perform Roses tunes live again, and his last tour was chock full of 'em.
So who's see 'em live? I did in Boston many moons ago, but it was after Squire left.
Still a good time.

I've seen them both ways. They kinda sucked post-Squire, but still a more entertaining show than most.
