here's my beefs with FIFA, from the Games forum. I finally had a chance to really get into the Career mode this weekend:

yup. in all reality i'd probably get my ass kicked. I only play the computer on professional difficulty and I still lose some times. However, I'm beginning to learn all the advanced controls (dummying, chip shots, through balls in the air, etc.)

I like the career mode but it's more exciting to play real people for me...my brother and I have a serious rivalry....he's definitely the Tottenpoop of Fifa opponents for me....we learn each other's strategies quickly; thus our gameplay has to improve/change or else...

that happened at school. there were 4 of us who would play FIFA all the time. One night, while waiting to help with crazy double secret fraternity stuff we played a game with 45 minute halves, two players on each side. I think it was Real Madrid v Manchester United. I can't remember what year FIFA it was either because I know on the more recent ones you can't play 45 minute halves. Anyways, the final score was like 30-25 or something crazy like that.
whenever my friend Matt and I play we hit square to randomly select a league and then once in that league we hit square again to randomly pick a team. He got Barcelona one game and I was Willem II from the Netherlands and I smoked him. Picking random teams makes it more interesting.

only did 45 minute halves that one time. we had like 3 hours to kill at 1 AM and were not tired, so we decided to play some FIFA. i think we had a peanut gallery.

that's awesome....yeah, my bro and I have spent hours upon hours playing each other...honestly, I would be interested in knowing how many hours I've put in on fifa since 1996.

We have Fifa 06 and my roomies never play me anymore because I always smoke them. My roomie always plays as Chelski and I of course as Arsenal and Henry always gets a brace. Im currently in my 4th season, first two with Ajax, currently in 2nd season with Borussia Dortmund and im a level 6 manager. Hoping to get to 7 or maybe 8 and then go to Arsenal and destroy some more people.

just finished my 5th season. Won the treble with Derby. 7 star manager with 2 chevrons. my forward, midfield, and defense staff are at 10. GK at like 8, everything else at 8 or 7. Stadium is at 9, i need 90k to get to 10.

Just picked up FIFA 2005 for £8. Bargain. Figure it will give me enough of a handle on the series to see if its worth forking out £35 on FIFA 2006, or if I should stick with PES.

06 is a lot better then 05 was, but FIFA still has its little quirks that make it FIFA as opposed to ProEvo.

Gaming Press in this country had 05 as slightly better....go figure :)
Also bought FIFA 01 for £2 lol!
Figure that was a pretty SPECIAL Arsenal squad back then. Would like to give em the run out. For £2 cant go wrong!

This is a thread for EAs new game fifa 2006, are you playing it? do you want to know more about it?
where are you in career mode?
Of course i had to go through about three seasons to get enough points to be arsenal!
its hardest in the first season because you dont have much money and you lose quite a bit on away games, so you can either upgrade your stadium and hope that you can last until january without losing too much money, which i did, and i sold bobby :O so now im afloat, sperz beat me in the first derby match, but ive beaten chelsea everytime, im waiting until the 2nd season to get new young players, how bout you all?I am playing as Roma in the Italian Serie A
Im currently in 2nd place in the league.
