Over the weekend the Toronto Globe and Mail reported that Lalas had spoken with Canadian national coach Frank Yallop about the coaching job in the wake of Bob Bradley's firing last week. Lalas, who said he hadn't read the story, which has been circulating on the internet, reiterated that he wouldn't comment on the job until after the season.
"I don't think it's fair to Mo," Lalas said. "We should focus total about that situation."

Who's the next coach? The former San Jose coach Frank Yallop, who now runs Canada's struggling national team, is believed to be at the top, or near the top, of Lalas's list. "He's making some money," Lalas said. "But I challenge him to get off his butt and get back into the thick of things. He's too good a coach to be working only a few days a week. He's a quality coach and a quality candidate for the MetroStars. I'm going to get the best person, a man or a woman."

"Mo Johnston is as viable if not more viable for the job than anyone else," Lalas told BigAppleSoccer.com. "So far I think he's done a terrific job. I have full confidence he's going to do it, not only this Sunday, but in the playoffs."

I think AEG has actually done it. They've made this club even more of a joke. I mean Alexi is such a diva, he'll say whatever he has to get in the news. What a sockpuppet. haha. How can anybody defend him? I know people are saying give him a chance, but I mean he's made a complete fool of himself.
