Have my game ticket, hotel and flight booked for Frisco. As we say in New England
"You gotta believe". I'll be at the Revs/Mutts on the 29th and the Revs/Fire the following week.

Looks like I have the privilege of going to every Quakes playoff game including MLS Cup (I'm there regardless). Driving down to EL Lay next weekend have my tickets for the weekend after that. And with homefield advantage for the Western Conference Final against Dallas or Colorado, I'm set.

Then why is your favorite team Munich?
I don't think they'll be playing in your backyard anytime soon...

You're right in between Metros and DC... It's not exactly an all day drive you know.
If MLS puts a team in Philly, but all the way across town, maybe that'll be to far to travel too...?

I don't need to see a team in person for them to be a fav. I have several teams I follow but only listed one.

It might be a silly regional thing but Philadelphians despise everything to do with New York/North Jersey and Washington.

That would depend on where it was. Most likely place for a team would be in the suburbs. But I would make the effort if our team was playing the stinking losers from NY or DC.

Fair enough, but do you even have a favorite MLS team?

I'm going to assume you do, or you wouldn't choose this thread to make your first post in...
So why rule out a short road-trip to catch your team in action, meet up with some fans, support your side...especially against a team you can bring yourself to hate? :D

Actually I do not have a favorite MLS team. When I watch a match on tv I usually cheer for the underdog. Last weekend I was cheering for Chivas to thump the Metrostars.

This being my first post was by chance. I had been browseing the youth forums and was thinking about posting there. After I joined the poll was sitting there and figured might as well start here.

I might make a trip at some time...not ruling it out all together...just not this year.

No, since the nearest MLS team to me is 670 miles and 8 hours away.

But then you make playoffs for Eastern and Western Conference.
What is the meaning of the whole East and West season????

A club like San Jose is the best overall this SEASON, and now they must play off in one or two games the whole season. I don`t understand.

Many Americans don't go for the "make a very meaningful competition with the most deserving winner" fair sporting sense attitude as much as they go for watching a bunch of meaningless single events for entertainment, and prefer to have the efficient sporting aspect secondary :) I guess that way just brings more money, and people tolerate it, so that is the way it is...

I live in England so obviously not. Still if I lived close to any of them I'd like to go

That's the difficult thing, living an hour from the nearest interstate. It makes it tough to support my local team.

No, it's a bit to far away, even for me.
