Could this be a new era for Les Bleus?

Ouais, enfin les forceps, ça peut laisser des traces sur la gueule...

Could this be a new era for Les Bleus?

The team showed us once again that when they release the psychological handbrake there's an interesting technical depth. Still, they also showed they were lacking (and not only Cissé) some à propos in certain situations. They have work to do on "playing intelligently" cos we don't face teams like Cyprus or the Feroes that often.

emphatic win for france. Congrats to you all. I watched it at a pub and everyone was calling Cisse, "Misse", I thought that was funny.

Thank you, Ami05, you've got class. I'm sure you're
very disappointed for your team, I understand that
and wish you the best of luck for the next qualifying
campain.

Wow. I'm smelling a flood of negative rep coming your way.
Don't be bitter, let us celebrate.
We qualified for Euro2000 at the 11th hour too, and won that bloody thing. Often qualifying has very little to do with how you play in the tourny.
Israel will get to watch France as well as 32 other teams battle it out this summer. Israel didn't deserve anything. They had a nice campaign, had some great late goals, but got exactly what they deserved. Good luck in 2010......

Was it a sellout? What is the capacity of Stade de France? Do they sell cool jerseys? This will be an even sweeter WC now that France is in. Go France! And thanks for the beer!

He's NOT a racist. It's just frustrating that Israel was placed in this group. Israel should be one of the top 3 in a group. Putting Israel in a group with the French, Swiss and Irish is crap. Israel performed very well in arguably the toughest group. Plus, Israel played the French so well in Tel Aviv. Finishing undefeated in the group and getting nothing for it is devastating. Hopefully they get more respect in WC 2010 and Euro '08 qualifying. Maccabi Petach Tikva will represent in the UEFA Cup. Good luck to all that made it.

This was by no means the hardest group.... If they were placed in the Dutch, Czech Republic, Romania group they would have suffered even worst. They got to play a struggling France, a rebuilding Ireland, and a Switzerland that is entrepreuning, but by no means a power.
I'm sorry your frustrated, but qualifying for the world cup is HARD. It should not be taken for granted. Maybe qualifying for the Euro is a more realistic goal.
You guys did better than most thought you would. You should be proud. Rome wasn't built in a day you know......

80,000 capacity and it was sold out. The Jersey is still white at home and blue away.

Actually, it's been nearly two weeks I have bought the tickets with my friends. We hoped then we would already be qualified for the game but now I don't regret we've qualified only tonight. :D

The 80,000 seats of the stadium were full. The fans were already heated an hour before the game started. It was really cool. Thanks to Coca-Cola, "supporters of the French team" (how hypocritical they can be...), blue balloons, tricolore flags and "les bleus" scarves were distributed to the audience.

Great game... and blue white red fireworks to conclude the show. :)

Great night ! :p

Here's my avatar from another forum where you don't need to pay to get one. It shows the magic French jersey. By the way, anyone who would be interested can take it for themselves as avatar. I don't really care. :)

Great night ! :p

Damn ! The only time I got to the Stade de France, it was for a dull 1-0 win in a friendly against Poland (February 2000 iirc). I'm jealous ! :p
