Even without the smiles I recognize the sarcasm......as my hubby would say-that's no lady-that's my wife........

As far as Weekend at Bernies goes, not infinitely as quotable as say Strange Brew so not really that cool.......

Cheers, I had the feeling your sarcastimeter would pick up on it even without the smilies. As far as Weekend at Bernie's goes it's a terrible movie that should have been rejected as soon as the script was presented.

I wish all of you a great trip to Engerland and I still wish I'd be there to meet you, puke breath or not.

I was just telling Billy the other day to remind me to pick up dramamine and pepto bismal for the nausea...more from the drinking than the motion sickness. LOL

I've also heard charcoal pills work great if you take them before bed after a night of drinking. I have no idea if that's true though.

Huh, you've got to appreciate Weekend at Bernies. Its the only movie where the two leads are out-acted by someone whose playing a corpse. If you want to see something really bad, rent Weekend at Bernies II. ;)

I wouldn't touch WaBII with a 10 foot bargepole. But I'd rep you if I could for the reply.

I do however love really bad horror movies. That's the one genre where a movie can actually be so bad it starts to be good again. What's the funniest horrible movie you've ever seen? Personally I can't really decide between Plan Nine From Outer Space (seen it four or five times) and Reptilicus (also seen four or five times). And let's not forget such quality flicks starring Gary Daniels as Full Impact or American Streetfigther. And then there's...

Actually, now i think you might like Weekend at Bernies II better than the first one. You really shouldn't miss Bernie being turned into a Zombie by a Vodoo curse.

And color me frightened Anti but this sounds like a great "horror" movie for you KJ.....

I am a fan of the early 80's horror movies myself-Friday the 13th Part 1, Halloween 1, Nightmare on Elm Street, etc.

I also like the very scary Pirhana, Orca, etc. :D

Interesting trivia, Piranha was written by John Sayles (Eight Men Out, Lone Star). Piranha II was directed by James (Titanic) Cameron.

I have to say that there's a certain potential in the idea. The dreadful plot and the horrible acting seems to be certain and if the effects are down to the same standards I might just have to seek this particular stinker out although I'm not really into comedy stinkers. Horror, action or sci-fi flicks that are sufficiently badly made gets me everytime. After all there's a reason why I love Mystery Science Theather.

Interesting (?) trivia: the scripts for both Reptilicus and Deathrace 2000 were written by Ib Melchior (a Dane, I'm so proud!). DR2k is another favourite of mine.

Its tough, some Horror flicks are intentionally bad for the sake of humor, some are just bad. One of my favorite unintenionally bad ones was Halloween 3, it had nothing to do with the first two movies, it wasn't very scary, and the only shocking thing was watching peoples heads turn into a bunch of snakes and insects. But the jingle was very memorable. "Eight more days to Halloween, Halloween, Halloween... Eight more days to Halloween, Silver Shamrock!"

Actually that movie was just crap.

Interestingly, Deathrace 2000 was directed by Paul Martel, a fairly well known B-movie actor. He starred in the cult classic Eating Raoul, and had parts in many other classics, including Rock and Roll High School and Piranha!
