I don't think so!!!!!
Congrats Dan, though I was pulling for the Angels because I think the Astros will have a harder time with the Sox.
Hey Cam! 10 DAYS..... I can barely stand the excitement!

Well the U6 Arsenal also lost on Saturday. If you have not seen any u6 footie, I highly recommend it. Generally all the kids are in a big bunch around the ball and there is lots of screaming of "no the other way"! However the team we played Saturday spread the field and chipped the ball over our players (slide tackling also- ). It was an interesting experience...... :D
Swarm soccer is what I call it! But, Jose (CCTX SoccerFreak) who posts on here is a coach in Corpus. He is great and the kids are even better! It is like what you were describing. He has set plays, slot passes, etc. On one corner kick, the kid taking it curled it into the box as another kid ran in to head it home. Amazing stuff for U8 boys. The other teams don't have a chance.

a Sox v Astros series would be fantastic. I think that is how its going to be. No way the Cards can win 3 in a row!

No kidding! We were going to call yesterday but did a bunch of yardwork and were totally exhausted in the afternoon. How did your match go?

Won 5-0. Good match. While I did not score, I did get an assist.......yay me! The family also came to the match with me and ran around playing the whole time too so we were all asleep by 9!

morning all! rainy day in SoCal.
btw gang, lets not all forget over the hype of "the greatest college football game ever played" that the trojans cheated to win. reggie bush PUSHED leinart into the endzone = shoulda been 15 yds unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. spread the word!
ps. mourinho remains a tool. and the arsenal will always prevail

thanks for the update, Yoss. I love asheville, the TWA, and most certainly miss the crisp mountain air (but the hot nuts/sewer/ exaust air of NYC is growing on me)...I'm glad you had a good time. Are you going to the Stones show as well? IIRC, you're not...
No, the Stones were Saturday night and we stayed in Asheville with some friends who built a cabin nearby to do some hiking, etc., on Saturday. Plus, I don't really like the Stones and didn't want to pay $100 to see Wilco do a 30 minute set.
Tweedy did mention it on Friday. He even changed the lyrics of "Late Greats" to say something along the lines of...."can't hear'em on the radio....they never opened for the Rolling Stones...."
Good stuff.

phrom a recent jambands.com interview with Mike Gordon:
Do you a see a time when Phish would get back on the road?
I don’t think so…but you never know. If I had to put my money on something it would be us not getting back together on the road. If it happened, we might have a different name and a whole different context of music. It would still be the four of us, so it would be very much the same chemistry, but otherwise it might not be recognizable as Phish at all.

My daughter had a great u-6 experience last weekend. She scored her first goal ever and was the first one on our team besides the really tall boy on our team to score. I'm the coach (er, manager) and my heart almost exploded with joy.
Then, that afternoon we went up to Boston to visit the in-laws and we went into a bagel shop for a coffee and there were about 30 20-something women in pony tails and Wake Forest Univ. warm-ups. I looked at them and asked if they were a soccer team. They said, yes, we're in town to play BC. So I announced to a bunch of them that my little Haley scored her first goal ever that morning. They all cheered and gave her high fives....it was the COOLEST. I get all choked up thinking about it.
Sometime's its pretty awesome being a dad.

GP, just thought I'd give you an update. Saw Wilco in Asheville on Friday......great show. The Thomas Wolfe Auditorium (look homeward, angel.....) was very cozy and Jeff and the boys were in a really good mood. They played a good mix from all their albums (except A.M.) and even a couple of new songs. A good time in the crisp mountain air was had by all.
they should have a DVD coming out, or it might already be out

Yeah...plus it looked like Leinhart almost coughed up the ball...
But I have to say..I"m no Trojan fan but seeing Notre Dame lose like that seemed like sweet justice.
And my Michigan win...well, sometimes even I am amazed.

I'm in Prague, having a great time, been hanging out with Rick and Jeff. Looking foward to the game tomorrow night, just got word that Thierry is making the trip, i don't think he'll play but its a good sign that he'll be at the match. The WBA game was fun but i didn't much like the result. I had great seats though, three rows up from the pitch just to the side of the halfway line. I was probably 10-15 feet from the sideline. Best seats i've ever had for any game.

yeah, i just went to the website. release date is in November.
I'm the Man Who loves you is on there. I wonder which night they took it from. The live CD has songs from 4 shows, and they play IATMWLY twice, once with no electric guitar for Jeff, and the second with it.
