Does anyone else love this album yet?

I'm getting there.
I was scared by all the guest stars, but they really seem to be background players.
In my mind, Common is one of the biggest talents out there right now.
My only problem with the album is that I wish there was one or two more times that Common just really ripped up the mic. Some of the intensity is gone in a way.

One day it will all make sense is my favorite of his still. But I think this one is real strong. The first single is the most straight-up track on the album definately. The rest of it is just so much different from most the crap you hear now.

This is promising. I'll get it.... soon. It seems like Okayplayer was saving some of the best hip hop records in a while for the end of the year, with The Roots, Talib Kwelli and now, Common.
So, if Resurrection was my favorite Common album, will I like this one?

See, I disagree here...at least when compared to LWFC. I think he comes alot harder. He might not have the straigh-ahead intensity that he had on One Day, but it's certainly been replaced with a greater dose of ambition. I don't have the track listing, but Electric Circus has me bobbing my head MUCH harder than LWFC (which I still thought was excellent).
Skipshady, i think if you liked Resurrection, then you'll love this album too. Some people act like EC is waaaay out there, or something unexpected. I think it's alot more straight-ahead than people give it credit for. I too was scared of the huge collabo list before listening. But Freestyle is right...they really are background players in the circus. I find it much more enjoyable than Phrenology.
