...according to Yossi:

Pardew understands it pays to be gracious, especially in (near) defeat. Good man.

That's fat mouth Sam for you!! and well said Pards.

Well if what Yossi says is true, it serves to reinforce my opinion of SA. I don't begrudge what he's done at Bolton, but I just can't stand gobby individuals like him and Warnock at Sheff Utd. I must admit to have a small snigger to myself the other week when Reading beat Sheff Utd in the last few minutes. Watching Warnock go apoplectic at the ref at the end of the game was reward indeed - what a tosser. Just because you're losing...ner ner ner nerrrr ner.

The more Fat Sam talks, the more of a jerk he seems to be.

You have gotta love Yossi. Class, class, class. Same goes for Pards.

The thing with that situation is that it all depended on Yossi being a person of integrity and principles.

Alot of players wouldn't have taken much notice of good manners and style of football in favour of a better deal.

Bolton may not have offered him more money but the prospects (on paper) would have seemed better to Yossi. Alot of players would be thinking that 'even if it doesn't work out at Bolton I could move onto a big PL club alot easier than if I were at West Ham'.

We just got lucky that Yossi has higher standards than 'how big his next cheque will be'. Ironic seeing as how he comes from such a deprived background.

Bolton may be doing better in the last two years, but I'll let statistics talk for themselves.
Who was the last Bolton player to play for England?
Which Bolton player is even in contention (rightly or wrongly)?

It feels like beating a dead horse saying this but form is temporary and class is permanent.

******** off Fat Sam.

So let me get this right; he phones Big Sam to tell him that he's going to sign for West Ham in the hope that Sam will convince him to go to Bolton (read: offer him more money)

Hehe, good 'loyal' player you've got there. Lets see how much he likes it during your cold, dark winter at the arse end of the table.

How many West Ham players are up for the FIFA player of the year?

Nakata, Diouf, Jussi, Okocha, Nolan!, Stelios, Speed and even Borgetti. You lot can only dream of a team like this! Never mind you can always watch your parent club win the Premiership again... ROFL

He really is a good player.

Maybe as a courtesy when he made his decision?

Nice try Prenn but we don't bite that easily.

Say what you like about achievements. They don't really count for much, especially nowadays when the leagues favourite teams and favourite players seem to win everything.

Once we have established ourselves as a permenant premiership outfit again it won't be long before we have players nominated for player of the year and it looks like we are already well on our way (http://www.whufc.com/article.asp?article=315012&Title=HAMMERS+NOMINATED+FOR+TEAM+OF+THE+YEAR+AWARD&lid=&navlid=news) to doing just that (http://www.whufc.com/article.asp?article=313055&Title=HAMMERS+DUO+SCOOP+WALES+AWARDS&lid=&navlid=news).

Looking ahead, where will Bolton be if SA beats McLaren to the England job?? It's a slippery slope from there believe me.

I think I will watch the Chelski/Bolton game on Fox at noon (3pm E.T.) just for a good laugh.

I was watching the Middlesboro/ Pompey game but it was so awful that I turned it off. If McLaren thinks he will be the next England manager then he is kidding himself. Hell, he would have to watch English players!!!!!!
