Saw The Rolling Stones last night at UVA in Charlottesville. Good show minus the bomb threat midway through the night that caused an intermission that lasted a little over an hour.

Sleater-Kinney last night.

Amazing.

I didn't go because the marathon is this weekend . . . the marathon that I just had to opt out of because my injury hasn't healed.

What did they play?

If they played "Mother," which one sang it?

bob. did I say blame canada? no. am I a liberal? no. if you had paid attention, I did say Canada has other good 'non mainstream crap' music such as the Newpornographers and Feist...broken social scene....you get the picture.
p.s.- what the hell is MTVM?

I stand corrected on the origin of Jet. other than that MY opinion is the same. they are unoriginal and really, really blow.

If they played "Mother," which one sang it?Had you known you were opting out of said marathon yesterday, I had an extra ticket I'd have given you.

This is what I can remember, and very out of order:

The Fox
Wilderness
Jumpers
Was it a Lie?
Rollercoaster
Ironclad
Modern Girl
What's Mine is Yours
Let's Call it Love
Entertain
Oh!
Words and Guitar

S'okay--I didn't know I wasn't going to run it until yesterday anyway (my attempt to run just a couple of miles failed).

Great set list.

Great set list.I'm really not sold on Let's Call It Love as a live song. Or as a song in general, for that matter. I think there's a great 4-minute song in there somewhere, but 12 is a bit excessive.

Anybody seen Wolf Parade live? They are playing nearby next week and it is cheap. I don't have any friends that are into them yet, but I'm trying to spread the word quickly. If they put on a really good live show I would think about going alone.

I saw them open for Sonic Youth about this time last year at the Blue Note. Not the biggest fan of their recorded material, but the live show was a major, major turn off. I won't ever go out of my way to see them again if that helps at all.

I saw Fruit Bats with Rogue Wave a couple weekends ago. I wish the bill had been switched, because Fruit Bats were awesome, but were talked over, short set, etc. Rogue Wave were OK, but nothing special. We left about 1/2 through.
