Regarding the FIFA budget for 2003, the members approved a proposal to oblige the national associations to use at least 4% of the financial support received from FIFA (totaling USD 250,000 per year) to promote the development of women’s football in 2003. The executive also decided to hold a Symposium on Women’s Football during the FIFA Women’s World Cup in China PR (24 September – 11 October 2003).

Wow... 4 percent... Be Still My Beating Heart...

For some countries 10,000 is a pittance but I wont be surprised if some others try to find ways to get around spending even that much for women's football. What if a country doesn't have a women's program?

Yeah, can't see this happening to much in the Middle East.

Anyway, what is the percent that the US Fed spends?
