Quakes in FIFA 06 video game (merged)

I dont know if anyone has posted about this, but ill make a thread. In the New FIFA 2006, when the quakes are at "home", there are too banners that say "ULTRAS" that is awesome. But it leaves me to wonder, where is the Casbah?

Besides the "San Jose Ultras" banners, there are banners there for "The Casbah" and "Club Quake" as well. :)

I've noticed a few small Quakes-related graphical errors in the FIFA 06:


The Earthquakes badge/logo used in the game is the never-used yellow-ray mockup rather than the official silver-ray badge/logo. Also, their jerseys don't include the two championship stars above the badge/logo.

The "San Jose Ultras" banner should be orange with black lettering instead of blue with white lettering.

The "Club Quake" banner is shown as "Club Quakes", but is otherwise identical to their real logo (I think).

It seems that The Casbah banner looks like the real thing, though someone may want to double-check that.


Hopefully a patch (either from EA or fan-made) will soon be released to address these graphical issues, which should be far easier to fix than any gameplay issues. :)

Such patches have been extremely common with PC video games for a while and will become more so with console gaming systems, now that those consoles have hard drives and online capabilities.

That was a bit different.

GTA:SA's porn code was already included in the game by the game's programmers, but was then "locked". It took a fan's programming patch (as opposed to a graphical patch) to unlock it.

I'm just hoping that there's no porn code in FIFA 06. :eek:

I'd buy the game, but I'd rather not give EA my money. Without getting too much into it, I know a former employee. Let's just say someone was very happy to get laid off by them.

Yeah. I made that banner back in 2004. It has Visit www.sjultras.com on the back, but they'd never let us put that side up. Anyway. Screenshot anyone? Sounds pretty cool.

Ironically, the last two or three versions of FIFA had the correct silver-ray Quakes badge/logo (after having used the incorrect yellow-ray version for the previous version or two), so I'm not sure why they reverted back to the incorrect one in this year's version. :confused:
