Why does Ibrahimovic deserve to be ahead of Villa? Villa has outscored him the past 3 seasons and is outscoring him again this season despite playing for an inferior team.
Plus Villa's performances for country have been vastly vastly superior to those of Ibrahimovic. On the international level Villa is probably the most inform striker right now. His 17 goals 22 matches from the beginning of the Euro qualifiers till now are a testament to that.
um maybe because villa plays with the best team in the world (spain)
what good support players does Zlatan have to play in sweden?
that's right.

And for club Villa doesn't play with many players that are comparable to the quality of Inter and he has still outscored Ibrahimovic the past 3 seasons.

First of all, Serie A is harder to score in then La Liga. Zlatan scored 17 goals in 27 games last season as he was injured a lot. That's really great pace in Italy.

Yeah, sorry, I hate to agree with SectionX (welcome back, how long 'til your next yellow?) but between Zlatan and Villa, it's not even close. I despise Ibrahimovic personally, but there's pretty much no question that he's the more dangerous player, especially considering his range of skills as opposed to Villa's.

Villa > than the ghost ibrahimovic, he disappears in big games.

Except that that's clearly not the only thing that Villa contributes. He's the heart of Valencia and he carries them. If they didn't have Villa they currently wouldn't be #1 in La Liga trying to fight for the title.
And, when talking about strikers, goals are the MAIN thing.

This is ridiculous. It's not even close? You clearly haven't followed Villa at all.

Not True.
If it was, why even have this discussion?
Anyone can just look up the stats.

And coincidentally neither Torres or Villa did anything versus the Italian defense.

Negative.
That's how....
Italy won a world cup.
Greece won a Euro.
Liverpool won a CL.
Milan won a CL
Your scumbags won a CL.
All these teams had the "best striker in the world" doing nothing but scoring goals.
Christ if being a good striker means only putting the ball in the net, your rags would have never got rid of ruud!

Man United actually won without playing with a "true" striker last season.

They didn't have to. They just had to wait for Casillas to save a few penalties in the PSO.

C. Ronaldo was as much of a striker as they could have hoped for. There's a reason why he scored 42 goals...

You have clearly misinterpreted what we have been writing. No-one has stated that goals are everything but they are still the most important aspect. The fundamental role of a striker is, after all, to score goals. If Sahahahahahaha provided everything he did but could not score then he would have never been given the chance to be our starting striker.

Don't start that rubbish again. Rooney was our dummy striker while Ronaldo operated from the wing, as usual. There were a few times when injury forced us to use him as a striker but they were few and far between.

Fernando Torres is the best. no doubt. Him and david Villa. Without the two of them spain wouldnt be the same. Villa needs a new club though. but lookout for fernando torres in the next few years. liverpool is going to be the new king of england and europe.
