Which brings us right back to the Ronaldo/Messi debate on whether they merit inclusion in these lists or not...
Aaah...the circle of life...err....the strikers debate.....at its finest.
Let it be known people of the world!
NO Ronaldos, No Messis and NO Robinhos!

Absurd. Robinho and Podolski don't belong on that list.
We will have to watch and see the Euro, I think Podolski will have a great tournament and prove himself.

He's bound to show up at some point this season...

He has a ton of talent and should get good practice from playing the weaker teams in Austria, Poland and Croatia for their opening group in the Euro. With one of the arguably best National Team striker pairings, they can't go wrong.

Except that I hope Gomez starts.

He should and probably will. Loew would be silly not to. Thats why there is all this talk about Podolski being put on the left wing.

Podolski would actually fit in well at the left wing. Schneider is not included it the squad so the right wing will be open so if they put Schweinsteiger on the right versus the left they can have Ballack and Frings in the middle still. If they play a 4-4-2...

Schweinsteiger looks like a little kid on the RW...he is useless there. Probably any other midfielder would be better on the RW.

Well he will want and need pitch time to stay sharp so i thought it would be an easy switch to put im on the right since he usually plays left.

For Bayern, at least this season, he usually plays on the right, and he usually sucks.

I don't really get to watch any Bundesliga games where I live since the only thing really televised it MLS and the Premier League as well as Champions League and bigger events so I still thought he played on the left for most of the year. On the NT anyways he usually played left side but with no Schneider and Gomez probably starting over Podolski and Podolski playing left I just assumed that would be an easy fit.

Would be great a pair with Klose and Gómez for Germany, but I think Joachim Löw is going to put Podolski as a starter player.

Podolski will probably start, but if he does it'll be as a left winger, not a striker. Klose and Gomez are Loew's favored pairing up top.

It indeed be an easy fit, he's quite used to playing there. That's not the issue. The issue is that Schweinsteiger is garbage as a right winger, and he's the last of the midfield players I'd put there.

Well he's going to want/need playing time so would you put him in the middle then and frings on the wing? Podolski, Ballack, Frings, and Schweinsteiger, will all need/want to start if those are the mids they go with, and if they use a 4-4-2.

The impression I've about Löw is he ever prefer a second striker behind of Klose, that's the reason I thought Podolski would begin as second striker and not as winger.
Any possibility to Trochowski or Borowski to the left midfield?, I think would be better options than Podolski there.
