View Full Version : Best Striker in the World now

Cristiano isnt a winger in the conventional sense....just because he 'starts' out wide he doesn't really provide service through the flanks like a conventional wide-player... however, the way united play, he basically is aloud to roam freely on either flank or even in the middle of the field and create chances like any other 'striker' would... so it all depends on how you want to describe cristiano....
but when it comes to a pure goal scoring 'number 9' the best in the world right now has to be fernando torres....u cant even really argue that fact... anything within the 18 yard box, he will put in... personally I still think Samuel Eto'o when completely healthy and at the top of his game, is the best pure striker

The player that has been STRIKING the ball the best is without a doubt C. Ronaldo.
The best forward this year that I have seen is Torres. I can't comment on Toni, dont watch the German League much.

I go for Christiano Ronaldo. He has brought ManU back to it's winning streaks.
Steven Gerrard can be considered. Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, and Kaka were some of the Brazilian strikers that I think can belong to the list.

Not even close. He'll have to go over to Europe to be even considered.

He's going next year, especially after he lays it down this summer in the PRC. Hopefully he doesn't get ill from avian flu or hit by a 1950's Beijing bicycle.

Scored two more again today, for the 3rd straight game.
Toni has 20 goals in the league
3 goals in the German Cup
10 Goals in the UEFA cup
5 Goals for Italy in Euro08 Qualifying
In total, he has 38 goals in 45 games played so far this year. Not to shabby!

Thats insane. I hope he can get 40 overall before the season ends. Keep in mind also, he plays less games than players in Italy, England or Spain.

That is impressive, I'm pretty sure there are quite a few more UEFA games than Champions League games arn't there?

Haha, hopefully, would be nice to have another team to give some opposition. There's an England vs. USA friendly I think, could be fun to watch. Plus if USA gets good, maybe it'll improve their league...then we can steal even better players from them!
