these 3 dont even start on their teams, with the exception of drogba.. henry has been way too inconsistent at barca, adriano got tossed from inter... are you serious? these guys will have trouble making top 10 lists..
Drogba is up there but Henry and Adriano i love barca and henry is third best forward in barca below messi and eto'o sooo learn futbol then we talk.

It really isn't a contest, Fernando Torres is clearly #1, with Fabiano right behind him.
1. Torres
2. Fabiano
#3 is just going to be a toss up of personal opinion. Adebayor, Toni, or Zlatan. Personally, I rate Adebayor higher than the others.
I wouldn't put it past Messi to be right up there with them IF he weren't injured, but he IS so you can't say just say he's the best right NOW..he's not even playing.

Nailed it 100%. Liverpool without Torres is like Chelsea with Schevchenko.
Adebayor, as of very recently, has fallen off a bit. My Dark Horse pics, or at least most underated, are Robbie Keane and Huntellaar.

david villa, without him valencia would have had no chance in beating both real and barca this week.

If you're going by form this season, which you must be if you're including Torres, then it doesn't make much sense to put van Nistelrooy at #2.

I had to throw one of my all time favourite somewhere :).

Fair enough. Here's my equivalent of that list, then:
1. Fernando Torres
2. Miroslav Klose
3. Samuel Eto'o
:D
Guess which one hasn't been in great form lately.

Klose of course. Except for him, I agree with your list.
Depending on how you judge "best striker in the world now":
1. Fernando Torres
2. Luis Fabiano
3. Samuel Eto'o

I'm not sold of Fabiano. He is a decent striker, good in the air and a general finisher. But he hardly ever creates his own chances if you look at his goal. Very reliant on his teammates. But don't get me wrong, thats what he is supposed to do...finish. But when he was at Porto, he score 1 goal....all season.
For these reasons thats why I rate Benzema, Ibra, Drogba, Torres, Eto'o and even David Villa ahead of him.

I rated him that high mainly because of how many goals he has been scoring this season for Sevilla.

Yeah for sure. He scores goal, and that really is the bottom line for someone in his position.

I would still take an inform Eto'o over Fabiano though because Eto'o seems more versatile to me.
