I take it back, Seedorf isn't really a striker

HAHAHA thanks for the laugh

half those players arent pure strikers. Where the hell is Toni or Trezeguet?

Although the post says best strikers, I just used great goal scorers. That is why I said all the guys are great GOAL SCORERS not strikers. As for Toni and Trez; I forgot about Trez and I remembered Toni as soon as I sent the post but I had to leave, so my bad.

Ruud. Ugk. He is not on Drogba or Ibra's level.

He is the best pure striker on the planet. As I have detailed on countless occasions Drogba has had one good season, that is it. Ibrahimovic is very good but he needs to score more.

Yeah ,I'm puzzled at the number of times Drogba's name has come-up in this thread. I guess people are really desperate to label an African "best striker in the planet" for whatever reason. A couple of years ago it was Martins who everyone was overrating, now its Drogba. Next year I guess it'll be Adebayor.

Drogba, and Martins are class though.

You can go a lot of ways with this one.

Ibra
Drogba
Ruud
Adabaya
Rooney
Tevez
Torres
Ronaldo
Ronaldo

All of these guys are great goal scorers and I'll take any of them. Funny thing though. When he's healthy Thierry Henry isn't just the best striker in the world but probably the best player.

All of those players, and still no Klose? Really?

To claim that Drogba is either the best striker or player in the world is ridiculous, particularly based on his merely good season last time around (great for him but not great overall). Sadly numerous people are guility of doing just that.

klose in the last 4 years has improoved a lot....in his last 3 years + this half part of the leaque season he has scored in 93 leaque games 54 goals and has assistet 54 goals...his assist rate is really great too i think...i cant imagine a other striker worldewide has a better assist per game rate than klose in the last 4 years in leaque games..

I'd say he's unquestionably a top 5 or 6 striker in the world. I'd personally rate him alongside Ibrahimovic and Van Nistelrooy as the best in the world, but he's inarguably in the top tier.

I agree. Great season last year, but needs to repeat that form before he can even be considered.

My top tier would be:
- Ibrahimovic
- Ruud
- Totti (if you want to count him)
- Klose

You legitimately think that's the reason? Even with Eto'o around?

Nah, probably not actually. I think their overrated-ness has more to do with Martins and Drogba being "flashy" strikers. Eto'o is not as flashy so he gets less mention in this thread even though he's obviously better than Drogba.

Id say Etoo is more flashy than Drogba.

Yeah I would agree. I am more used to seeing Eto'o put it threw defenders legs, do a couple pedaladas, etc...then Drogba. Drogba as technical ability though, he just uses it very sparringly

Meh, with Porto he was horrid. I think he played every game and only managed to score 1 goal.lol
