Old man Ruud still has some goals left in him, and with Henry out of the picture for the moment, the old poacher gets my vote.

moreno is awsome, especially now as he is older
back when he was younger he would lose his cool a lot and play frustrated.

Questionable people on this list ... Rivaldo?
Hands down ... Sheva is the best in the world right now. He's in top form and is carrying club AND country ...

Henry is still the best. The guy is a genius. The problem with him is he hasn't been able to play a full season for a couple of years now.
I don't think he would be in the top five, but Drogba deserves an honourable mention. He would be pushing the top ten. If he played for a world class nation, he would probably receive the same recognition as Crespo receives.

The gap-toothed wonder, Ronaldo, is still the best striker in the world, and after this next World Cup you could argue that he is the greatest striker of all time.

Good list but you left someone off. Someone I don't care too much for but has produced enough to be mentioned.
Hint: Leading scorer in France and UEFA Qualifying.

You're right Portista! :D
How can you have an extensive list of the currently "best" strikers and not include Pauleta? I'm not personally a fan of his but he has put up more impressive numbers than the majority on that list.

Thierry Henry
Adriano
Ronaldo
Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Andriy Shevchenko
For me, that is the top5, in order.
I haven't seen enough of Ibrahimovic, but the other four IMO are clearly above any other current players that I know of.
And selecting between those four is hard without just getting biased, because different players work better in different teams, with different tactics, playing different opponents.
