Nistelrooy is their most dangerous scorer (the Dutch's), but the most dangerous in attack (including taking on defenders, opening up the field by drawing players, etc) is Robben (when healthy obviously)
No, Van Persie is our main man.
As for Teso: should Holland get out of their Euro 2008 group, you'll probably end up saying 'both France and Italy struggled in qualifying so it was to be expected that Holland beat them' or similar. Fact is that the Dutch have been labelled as underachievers since 1974 even when we've played some great football in the meantime and got some great results in both world cups and European championships. Only a world cup win will help us to finally get rid of that reputation, I reckon.
Anyway never mind. France Football's world team of the year lists Ruud van Nistelrooy as the striker. Discussion closed.

You do when a free kick hits you and deflects into the goal and when your other goal is only scored because you mis-hit the finish.

Messi and Ronaldo are forwards but I understand the point you are trying to make. It does not apply here though, as the poster wrote under his list...
Neither are Rooney and Tevez, which was the point we clearly made and one I'm sure you will agree with now.
I discussed Totti and his role in my recent series of posts in this very thread.I have viewed quite a few Roma games the past 3 seasons and would say that Totti plays 8/10 matches at second forward with a Vucinic or Totti plays up top by himself.Y did they get rid of Mido,Montella,Nonda,Tavano all in 1 season BC they found out Totti can do the business up top. Teves,Robinho Rooney are all candidates and Totti plays further up the field than all of them.U see Tevez and Rooney go to the half mark to get the ball and distribute.Totti hardly goes this deep anymore to collect. Also IBRAHIMOVIC PLAYS AS A SECOND FORWARD MOST OF THE TIME BEHIND CRUZ/CRESPO/SUAZO.At Roma there hardly is anyone for Totti to play behind So in my opinion Totti plays the same position Ibra does if not more advanced.
I mean how do you expect to get 26 Seria A goals if youre not playing in a striking positionhttp://footyfootball.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/totti_and_golden_boot.jpg

if he wouldnt have made those goals,he would be bad
and he makes them, and he's still bad
so either way he loses

First, the point I wanted to make was that you can’t use the Champions League final as the measuring stick for Inzaghi’s ability.
Second, I don’t think the reason that people don’t like him is because he isn’t fancy; Van Nistelrooy isn’t fancy and people love him. The reason people don’t like him is because he isn’t a player that people want to emulate. He appears to be the luckiest player in the world and not to posses any skill. No one dreams of scoring the type of goals Inzaghi scores and people hate players who are very lucky unless they play for your team.
Inzaghi certainly doesn’t suck and I think he is the best TRUE STRIKER in the world. His positioning and ability to finish are absolutely world class. However, almost all of his other abilities are mediocre at best. As a result, unless he plays an incredibly specific role, one that a formation and tactics need to be catered to, he is a horrendous player. However, when he is used correctly as he has been throughout his career, he is a world class player.
The “type” of striker a player is and the way a player scores their goals isn’t as important as the number of goals they score. A goal counts the same whether a player dribbles by 6 players and rips the ball into the upper corner or is in the right place at the right time and taps it into the net. A striker’s job is to score goals, not to score fancy ones.
To show the true value of a player like Inzaghi, everyone has lost a game that they completely dominated because their team couldn’t finish some of the easiest chances in the world. The type of game that I am talking about is one that should be at least 3-0 in your favor and probably 5-0. Inzaghi is a player will prevent this situation from occurring. If he is on the field he’ll finish any good chance that he gets. If he’s on the bench, sub him in and he’ll finish any good chance that he gets. He is certain to get a good chance because of how badly your team is dominating.
Also, it is important to remember that the typical Italian style teams will sit back and defend and wait for that one lucky break to give them a chance to score. Inzaghi is the best in the world in getting these types of goals.

I think if you read the rest of his post it's fairly clear that he was saying that he does, in fact, 'appear' lucky, but it's really down to excellent positioning/finishing. He was complimenting him, from what I could see.

Good point. For some reason my original post got screwed up. Sorry about that. Below is what I intended to be posted, including a paragraph(bolded below) where I state that I don't think that Inzaghi is luckly.
First, the point I wanted to make was that you can’t use the Champions League final as a measuring stick for Inzaghi’s ability.

Inzaghi has scored too many goals over to long a period of time for his success to be based on luck. It is most likely a statistical improbability for any player to be so lucky. He possesses the incredibly rare ability to create his own luck. These “lucky” goals are the result of his own doing, the same way the goal Messi scored against Getafe was Messi’s doing.
To show the true value of a player like Inzaghi, everyone has lost a game that they completely dominated because their team couldn’t finish some of the easiest chances in the world.
