Thanks Phil80, you've made Teso look like an even bigger twat.

I don't think there is one "best" striker in the world right now, but there are a handful which are much better than the rest.

Stop squirming and try to dispute the points I have already made.
Another laughable post. When you learn to make a coherent reply, then it can be disputed. Still waiting for a worthy, insightful comment on his lack of influence in the tournament. You seem to have a hard time with that.

Yet another convenient sidestep. My full explanation on the issue is here for all to see. You have failed to disprove any of it. Either do so or admit defeat. Stop wasting our time with your pathetic whining.

Admit defeat? What are you like 12 years old? Grow up little boy, and come up with a better argument than 'Robben and his hero runs'.

I'm not going anywhere, so whenever you are ready...

What's Robben doing in a striker thread...

Anyways the best striker in the world right now is between Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ibrahimovic.

We were discussing internation performances of strikers and Van Nistelrooy in particular. I pointed out that playing with a selfish player like Robben does not help. I obviously upset some of his fans.

If Robben played well in the last WC, Ruud would of destroyed defences..

Anyways why is Phil defending him, I always thought he was a Barca fanboy...

You also pointed out Robben had no/little impact for the Dutch in the world cup and was a failure, a ridiculous statement that is easily refuted by just watching the actual games.

You're wrong.

Robben tried to dribble past everyone and didn't succeed. His wannabe matchwinner runs were overall detrimental to the whole Dutch attack as he should of been more of a team player.

Imo he had a negative impact on the the dutch side, unless you were watching a different team than I?

First off, it was the the whole Dutch formation and style of play that didnt benefit Ruud. And go back and watch how he got his goal in the world cup (throughball from robben where he had an open shot at the keeper).
Second, I support players that deserve to be recognized regardless of what team they are on. I take a less bias bias approach when rating players, unlike yourself.

From this thread, you have deduced that I am biased

How's that?

No, your history of posts in general.
Your assesment of Robben is typical of someone with limited knowledge of holland's group stage games. Its like someone saying Ronaldo was a hinderance to Portugal because he dove too much.

Whatever dude. I've explained how Robben played and you've said nothing to dispute that.

To dismiss my statement as "limited" and add nothing to prove it just makes you silly. Directly dispute my earlier comment and expose my "limited knowledge".

Your post is a parrot of Teso's which i have already refuted. Robben dominated against Serbia and was extremely influential against Ivory Coast including dribbling from midline and supplying Ruud with his only goal.
That is not to say Robben is always supplying Ruud well or that he is always influential to the Dutch, but his performances in the world cup are undeniable, and its quite comical for clueless posters like you and Teso to claim otherwise.

Fine.

You and I have near opposite views on what constitutes a big impact. I'll just stick to my "limited knowledge" while you can keep on sucking on Robben's balls.

Yeah, and you can continue with Ryan Gigg's balls, claiming he's better than Ronaldo, Romario, Zidane, Ronaldinho.
Atleast you admitted to your limited knowledge.

The fact you rate Zidane as an all timer says it all.

This may be the most mind-numbingly pointless devolution of a great thread ever.
