That would be awesome! Although my wife has already begun the lobbying effort to keep any additional soccer programming off the air, so this initiative is going to have some hurdles.

There was also some speculation that because it appears in the same section of channels as the other ESPN channels that it may have ENGLISH commentary. This is exactly how GolTV was brought into Dish. If they were going to offer just the Spanish version to the AT120 or higher subscriptions then they would do it like they do with Galavision, Telefutura, etc. and just unscramble the channel to AT120 or higher in the 800 section of channels. If they are getting it in English chances are it will be a Dish exclusive. That's how Dish operates and is why we don't have Setanta Sports since DTV got there first.

I would be happy with it just being added in Spanish. I wouldn't care for the language since I can't speak it, but I'd be getting Champions League and, what I miss from FSC, Dutch Eredivisie. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it really will broadcast in English.

It would be odd to have a Spanish language station smack in the middle of all the other ESPN channels like that.

How much of Deportes is duplicated content from ESPN, but with spanish language commentary??

Damn I have Direct TV and I desperately need ESPN Deportes. Even the cable offering in my area is getting the channel for the Latino option. What am I to do? Ugh! :eek:

For quite a while, we only had Fox Sports Espanol and so I quickly learned "tiro d'esquina" and "equipo". :)

I've got AT180, and there is nothing on Ch 141 for me either at this point.
