Not Andersen. Before the final game, Andersen and Dos Santos were toe to toe. After the final game, Andersen was named the best even though he didnt play. This was obviously a sympathy vote. The best 2 players in the tournament were Dos Santos and Vela.

Andersen, by far. Yeah he got injured early in the final but if you had watched Brazil's games throughout the tourney you'd have seen the kid do things no other player in the tourney did. A definite star in the making. Runner up would be Dos Santos, Vela doesn't impress hes a poacher that got great service from Dos Santos and crew without it he wouldn't standout at all.

What I saw from Anderson throughout the tournment was more impressive than Dos Santos in the final (only game I saw him). So I'd have to say Anderson. The boy is good.

Wasn't impressive? I guess Arsenal and Chelsea must have been really unimpressed, since they are both after him. I think the assessment as a poacher is wrong, i thought he was a poacher too until i saw the game last night and saw him play for the first time. He's got great dribbling and passing skills, he's not a one trick pony.

As for the best player of the tourney, I can't say. After the final game, I say it was Dos Santos, from what I saw, he's one of the best creative players I've seen at this level, and WILL be huge at the senior level. I never got to see Anderson play, so no opinion on him.

Why when anyone ever tries to evaluate talent they always have to bring up "oh Arsenal/ManU/Chelsea have shown interest" big teams show interest in EVERY youth in these types of tournies, its no big deal unless a move actually happens. Your claim thats hes a good passer just shows you didn't watch him more then once if you did you'd see how bad his passing was. Dribbling skills are ok, finishing is good, take away Dos Santos he doesn't score this tourney (at least not as much). Dos Santos is miles ahead of him as far as soccer intelligence goes and so is Andersen. Zimmerman would be a good comparison to Vela's skill, if Zimmeran got that distribution he would have finished it just as well and I don't rate Zimm that high either.

Vela was Way better than Zimmerman. Vela has better ball control, dribbling, reading of the game, postitioning ...just an all around better player than Zimmerman.
Zimmerman was actually pretty bad. He had a good work rate and a lot of heart but, that is all.

What did ANderson do to his ankle? and how is he doing?

Dos Santos and Anderson are both great players at the U17 level, and I think they will both continue to progess...I lean towards Dos SAntos by a little.

Anderson....is more explosive, has more tricks, better shot.

Although Dos Santos is better at crossing and passing..

P.S: Anderson is reported to be going to Portugal to play for FC Porto by this January.

Anderson, already under a contract with FC Porto, believe close to 8 million euros.
