Why do all 4 referee officials have ear peices like they can talk to eachother? ive seen this in the french and german league so far.

Why do all 4 referee officials have ear peices like they can talk to each other? ive seen this in the french and german league so far.
You've said it yourself, with these ear pieces they can communicate easily, not having to run to the other side of the field to talk to each other (e.g. when there's an offside). It's been authorized by Fifa some years ago.
