don't forget that TV5 is not a channel for france but for the french-speaking world.

Yes, I imagine that all those Dish's pointed towards the sky in France's wonderfull HLM's are pointed towards TV5. And I imagine that the same goes for the parabole's that are in Tunisia and Algeria. Classic.

Wow! You've got to love Platini saying what everyone thinks.

Platini: la France n'a "rien à faire au Mondial si elle perd en Suisse" (http://fr.sports.yahoo.com/05102005/1/platini-la-france-n-a-rien-faire-au-mondial-si.html)

Domenech unfazed by absentees (http://www.uefa.com/competitions/WorldCup/news/Kind=1/newsId=349056.html)

Not even a lengthy absentee list can deter Raymond Domenech as he closes in on his target of becoming the first France coach in two decades to lead Les Bleus to FIFA World Cup qualification.

Debleu? haven't got a clue. Must be a conjuction of some sort.

Whereas it's typical romand, debleu is an expression/interjection which follows a common rule in French : replacing 'Dieu' by 'bleu' when you swear ; a little bit like dang instead of damn.

The most interesting would be 'palsambleu' which comes from 'par le sang de Dieu' I read somewhere...Or the so-called classic but never used outside XVIIIth Century history movies Sacrebleu !

And yes I can hear this Swiss accent fulminating saying : "Debleu, debleu, debleu !" :D

i like that midfield, although i think malouda is better off coming on with 30 minutes left and using his pace to burn tired defenders. I'd start Dhorasoo instead.

Sagnol is out for the match, and Thuram might not be fit for the next match

No Gallas? He must start over Boumsong in central defense, or if not there, at left-back.

Sagnol is out for the matchso that means the new boy takes his spot, which is his natural post anyway.

thuram not going to play? that's a good one! :p

Some one plzzz update me on whos not going to play other than Trezeguet and Henry, I just read on yahoo sprts that Zizou didnt train on Tuesday and Wednesday. And Guily should defintley be in the starting lineup, the way I see it is that Cisse should be played up front alone with Wiltord and Guily on the wings.

i've been to l'équipe and to the FFF site to get a rundown to no avail.

trez & terence are hurt, and sagnol has to stand in the corner, he's been a bad boy...

zidane or thuram are skipping practices precisely in order to be there on matchday, and they will be.

France have got no chance if Boumsong starts.

I'm surprised they just didn't call up Sylvain Distin. He's been the much better defender in the EPL.

Let's play Gallas in the centre please. Looks as if Reveillere will go RB then, if Sagnol doesn't play.

Who on earth are we going to play on the left then? Evra wasn't called.

I think Domenech will go;

Coupet

Reveillere/Sagnol----Thuram----Boumsong (:()-----Gallas

Makelele---Vieira

Wiltord---Zizou---Dhorasoo/Guily

Cisse

Has to go with two up top for Cyprus. Goals could be a crucial factor.

Yeah, I know. It's an issue. The only other option is Givet. Gallas is much better in the centre then out on the left. If I had an option between Boumsong and Gallas, then I would go with the latter.

But sadly, we all know that Gallas will play left and Boumsong will play in the centre. :(

Why on earth Evra wasn't called up is huge mystery.

Well I imagine that he's a scorpio and we all know that scorpio's can't play left fullback in Switzerland.... Duh!...

I thought Sagnol is suspended for this match?

Sagnol is suspended, Givet is hurt and Thuram is doubtful with injury. :(
