WOOHOO! Total domination. How cool for Gomito to sit with the Barra and Screaming Eagles banging on the drum all night. More Metros Playoff Failure.

No disrespect to the supporters groups in the Swamp, but my fan of the match is Christian Gomez. Wonderful!!

New England loses 2-0. A win on Wednesday and we're only two points out of first.

And Columbus loses to Chivas. Stupid losers.

Did he go the full 90? (pounding the drum, that is)

:D

If we beat the Metros on Wednesday, we are guarenteed of a playoff berth. Way to go.

I had to do a double take to make sure it was him.

That was simply brilliant, both the humiliation of the Tards with our arguably best player pounding the drum with his son.

It must absolutely suck to be a Metros fan.

Ben says it's the first time since he was 13 that he's scored two in one game.

It seemed like he went at least the second half.

Did you all catch the shot of Michael Bradley on the bench after the game. I'm not sure if he was crying, but it sure looked like it.

It's starting to feel a lot like last year.

...And their best player not even able to beat himself...

Go visit the Metro board; I actually feel sorry for them.

If anything, the 4-1 scoreline flatters the HOME TEAM PLAYING WITH ITS SEASON ON THE LINE.

You know that thread around here about Freddy going to Jersey? As a Nats fan, that would be disastrous, to have the stench of the Mutts rub off on Freddy. Seriously, at this point, is there any doubt that franchise is cursed? Hoffa must hate soccer or something.

This was just a good old-fashioned ass-kicking.

HUGE respect to Gomez for sitting with the traveling supporters and banging the drum all night! JP said it best - that image has to end up in a commercial for MLS/DC United.

Is this rivalry even worth talking about anymore? This was pretty close to a must-win for the Scum, and they folded like a cheap tent in a hurricane, at home no less.

Why? Did you see his hands bandaged?

4-1 win. Great. ...

... Michael Bradley crying win it was over. Priceless.

Grade A performance, with the A standing for ass-whooping. The place sounded like RFK North after the second goal.

Gomez. Awesome.

The shots of Adu (on the MSG feed) running around the field enjoying the win, fantastic. Celebrating just like a kid should. :)

MOTM Christan Gomez for helping his team, even when he isn't playing.

Christian Gomez is the man. Let him rest on the bus ride back.

I agree. The Metros NEEDED this one. They've now got 3 games on the road. There was no urgency whatsoever. No Heart. I hate Amado Guevara, but when he's on the field they're a different team. He's got heart. Ante Razov? Invisible. Eddie Gaven. Invisible. Youri had one great pass.
