DC Banner Question

hey DC Drunks

I was wondering if the DC Banner that Jaime moreno gave away to the catolica captin for the first and second games of la copa sudamericana
was available to the public... Its really nice looking and I collect the banneres from every team I have seen... I have seen DC in the past at rfk and I was wondering if that banner was available to the public... I have the regular one that they sell at RFK but I would rather have that fancy Official banner like the ones I have from Uruguay and Argentina...

If some one can get me 1 PM me and I'll be more than happy to trade for it with the official banner of Club Nacional de Futbol (the same one the team captin gives away at copa libertadores of Sudamericana matches)

You mean those triangular ones? Hey, I don't see those for sale except in Spain and England. You'd think that would be a great merchandising opportunity. Traditionally, every player had one to give to the other player, now it's just the captains that exchange them.

In field hockey, it's lapel pins. And in hoops as well -- the American Dream Team in 1992 got caught off-guard by not having anything to give their opponents as a souvenir. Many of the players settled for having photos taken with their heroes, which I think is an even bigger gift to the game of basketball.

do you mean little flag or something? Banner is what hangs on fence (like trapo in Argentina, even tho I had to listen from all the Bolivians tonight that trapo is underwear.................. :D)

Dont know why these are not for sale I'm sure they would sell like hell in every MLS Market and every 2 years you can change the design and sell it..

as far as those only being made in spain and englan I'll correct you by assuring you those triangle type flags are sold around the world by almost every popular team......

I started collecting them thru my travels with Nacional and have a few from south america and a few from guatemala when i went for vacation and saw a few footy games and in the states i bought those baseball type flags cause they were the only ones available to the public and have the Revs DCU and Miami Fusion.. My center piece is Nacionals flag which is about a foot long and a foot wide it was a special banner for the 100 years....
thats my freak from my world travels and stadium visits...

I wont even talk about my personal trapo thats been in some heated copa libertadores matches on the field and in the stands...
