As a United fan stuck out here in Chicago, I've been interested in season tickets to the Fire for a while. (Im a sports fan in general). We got a chance to take a tour of the as-of-yet unfinished stadium and its quite a sight. It's one thing to talk about a new stadium; its an entirely different thing to actually see it in person. And I couldnt help but think how much DC needs one. This isnt exactly news, but the head of operations was discussing the various revenue streams the stadium wil generate. Various chain restaurants, music stage, ballroom. The Fire are going to make a killing off of this thing, and DC United needs to get on it and get a stadium done. They originally planned to have a 5000 sqare foot pub, but they decided to move it to the 2nd level and its now goin to be 12,000. If anyone from United is reading this, you gotta get the stadium deal done. Now!

Wow, this will come as a shock to so many around here. I don't know man, I mean sharing with baseball is so much of a good thing. Look at what we gain from sharing RFK. ( )

Wow, a smartass reply from someone on the board. Who would have thought? Sometimes bigsoccer seems like its not a very welcoming place to people who dont post nearly as much as others. Nodak, cant you spend your time a little better than bashing peoples posts?

Oh, the pub is a brilliant idea. How Peter Wilt was "let go" from that job is beyond me. That guy really has the pulse of the fans.
We'll get a stadium that will make Fire fans jealous. You know, one with at least 4 championship banners.
